Full time three two. We certainly deserved the win, but made hard work of it. Ref really didn't help.

Agree with Moo, As good as Ross was Joe Healy was my MOTM closely followed by Barny.

Ref was diabolical. Their 6 commited 4 bookable fouls and didn't even get a warning. Their 4 wasn't much better either.

It kicked off in the tunnel at half time and the ref just looked terrified and just stood back and ignored it. I certainly didn't expect to see 22 players come out for the second half and don't know if he did take any action but I doubt it. Totally out of his depth.

Exciting game though and deserved to win. Pity Salisbury pulled back from 0-1 at half time.

Cracking performance overall today, ref was pretty useless. Thought Barney had a terrific game, the best I've seen him play. If he can continue like that as cover for Faz we'll be alright.

Also thought Kiernan was excellent second half when moved to the right wing, beat his man numerous times and got dangerous crosses in. Also did very well to get 2 assists - both from headers!

Ref was an absolute clown. Didn't take control of the game in the first half hour and from then on things only got worse. How their number 6 stayed on the pitch, nevermind not even getting booked, is a mystery

Part of the crowd were getting excited,as the score from Welling was filtering through, that they were at 2-2, but they got a latish goal to win 3-2. But if we keep winning, keeping the pressure on, there run wont last forever, it has to end eventually.

Their, not there. Thickos!!

Well Done to Jamie and the team, they have "stepped out of the ordinary" and become record breakers and whatever else they do in their careers that cannot be taken away from them - they have achieved.

I thought that I was watching the Six Nations today. Dorchester had better divers than Ton Daley and their No. 6 should have been sent off, especially for elbowing Ross. That was just the start of the thugs attack on him, but diddly squat by the ref.  The ref was as about as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike and booked Ross for a shoulder to shoulder challenge - is this not allowed in a physical game anymore?  Sitting in the old stand, I'm sure, as did others, that their No. 11 ( not sure, so don't quote me ) racially abused Kieron after a good tackle. This must be eliminated.  All in all, we deserved the win.  A hard fought battle against ' our ball ' oppo.  Sitting close to Faz who is having a scan on Monday. Hope for good results mate. My man of the match - Barney by a country mile. Solid, unfased and totally confident.

Apart from some dodgy defending for their goals a good performance against the Dorchester twelve. Ref bottled it early on and let them get away with virtually everything. Williams was fantastic, especially against such a physical/thuggish team, this should do his confidence no end of good. Some players still getting silly bookings that we can't afford with the injury list we have git. Still, 3 points in the bag and the run continues. Salisbury might want to remember that they can drop points too, have they forgotten farnborough already?!

Yes 516 is not too bad when you consider how cold it was and that Dorchester barely brought double figures.

If you were a Dorchester supporter, would you travel the distances they have to, to see a team that plays that style of football? I was told that it had changed since Vickers was sacked, but they are every bit as bad as the former version.

Was a great result yesterday and shows we can get stuck into teams that play ugly and are formed from Trolls and Ogres and the referee seemed intimidated by the size of their defenders.....which wasnt difficult when the ref was a dwarf

I hope we can continue this run but as long as we don't lose to Boringwood or the bunch from Calais,i will be happy

I agree Barny running down the wing was great to see

Up the wings

http://fans.dorchestertown.com/viewtopic.php?t=5641&sid=dd044a8ea3d13c56011eb16a58fcacd0 They dont like us haha. Ive only met Dorch Fan and he seemed ok, not sure they can have too many opinions of us when a handful of them turned up.

Great quote from their manager here

http://www.dorsetecho.co.uk/sport/10203930.Dorchester_boss_delighted_after_battling_show_at_Welling/

"Matched them blow for blow" , I think Dorchester had about 3 shots on target. Basingstoke's Manager said the same after Welling had 11 shots on target to 2 or 3 from Basingstoke. I must watch different games. If we finished in both games we would have won both convincingly imho, think we deserved to win both games and were the better team in each match.

Just watching the game back. Lafayette has been fouled ten times in the first half alone so far, mostly by Pugh. Hughes Mason has been cythed down by their 7 a few times also, He also went right through Theo. It didnt affect them as Theo had a hand in a goal, Kiernan had 2 assists and Ross smashed the winner home.

In fairness, if we had lost a game like that I would expect to see Jamie Day making similar type statements in a Bexley paper. When you come back twice away against a team that has won ten on the spin, you would feel you might have earned a point. The penalty shout was at the other end so I cannot say too much about it however their manager was a long way away too.

Do their supporters really believe that there is a difference in the style of football since Vickers left. The new man has signed Aaron Pugh, and I've no idea how many fouls he committed that were as worthy of yellow cards as those shown to Clough, Gallagher and Lafayette. He must be gutted that Welling cannot afford to give away shirts as he appeared to want to swap with Ben Martin at every corner.

We have supporters that want to cause throuble at every match. Really? No other team has ever come out with that one yet they do even despite admitting they weren't even here.

Strangely, I have met quite a few Dorchester supporters who have seemed like decent people so I'm not so sure who these people are.

Don't know why, it wouldn't fit him as Ben has clearly spent some time in the gym, whereas Pugh looks like a lanky sixth form student. I thought he had two threads hanging from his shorts - turns out they were actually his legs

Our forum is good for a chuckle apparently, not as much as their position in the league table. I stopped reading after the first post ... as soon as he said "I wasn't at the game" yet came out with loads of comments basically doubting what we have said I lost interest.

and to answer his comment that if so and so isn't the best midfielder in the league he doesn't know who is, that man is Joe Healy sir, as you witnessed in defeat. Arise Juan Joe Healy.

I think they must be referring to the "behind the goal" folk who refuse to change ends at half-time, admittedly I've never met such a Wings fan but in fairness I always change ends at half-time. Maybe they should come of here and identify themselves for the brutish rogues that they are.......
