Dissapointed in the ref tonight who usually has a decent game at PVR. Missed far too many off the ball incidents although the assistants are there to assist and just didn't.
I thought ref was ok - best one by a long way we have had at PVR. Some of the off the ball incidents were so far off the ball that I can not blame him for not seeing them, but as you say his assistants didn't help him out. The one on Kieron in the first half was in the middle of the field and the ball was on the touchline. Can't be looking in both places.

Felt I had to post in defence of Mr. Degnarain who I thought had another excellent match last night. Referees are blessed with only one pair of eyes and their prime responsibility is to follow what is happening on the ball. It is up to the assistants to tell them about incidents which happen a long way from the ball. Last night there were certainly at least two occasions when that did not happen - not the ref's fault.
A superb performance by the whole team last night. No one could have argued with any of half a dozen players being named as Man of the Match. Borehamwood were probably relieved to travel back to Hertfordshire knowing that they could have lost by several more.
Quite amusing that someone has posted on the Chelmsford forum that they hope that by the time we play them at the end of March we are in the middle of an injury crisis. Perhaps someone should tell them that we already are!
I thought the referee had a very good game in difficult, visual, conditions - consequently not his usual excellent, A plus officiating, more an A minus. He must be one of the best referees in this league although, that said, we have had many good and fair referees this season. How different to recent seasons. I just hope this trend continues. As for the team - Willing, Wonderful, Winning, Welling. They get smacked in the chops with injuries and still march on - playing neat passing football when required or stepping up to the plate in bruising, physical encounters. Just a shame that most of the local Bexley public see no further than their prima donna Premiership interests or Championship sides outwith the Borough. Not that we expect them to desert their favourites (and Charlton has been very good to us) but it would be great to see a few more of their fans when their teams are not at home.
I thought last night might be the end of the winning run but how wrong I was!
I am not sure how they boasted the meanest defence in the league (before last night) but it shows how tactically aware our manaagement team are and how our players carried out the tactics to the letter. From 1-11 they all contributed - MOTM for me would have been Gallagher although I couldn't argue with Franks and, once again, Barney looked more than comfortable at this level.
Barney had a great game. They tired to put Pires on him thinking they could unsettle him but he wasn't having that. Pires soon gave up and was then anonymous for most of the game. Glad he had one of his lazy games and he didn't show one of his rare but brilliant moment. Luckily he didn't get near the ball to dive.
'All credit to Ian Allinsons men, they did not give up and it was Toomey who went closest to further affecting the score line. His low drive looked to have the beating of the portly Turner, yet his deceptive agility gave The Wings the clean sheet they desired.'
Doesn't matter how anyone describes JT, he is still a good keeper and proved it on the night. If I remember correctly, he didn't let a goal in.
