It's strange. We suggest simple initiatives like organised large scale leafleting teams and Promotion Push funds yet we hear nothing back from the club.
As for a Promotion Push fund I would suggest people either donating via the Boost The Budget fund with WUSA, or if you're willing to donate £70 and would like a signed shirt then contact Paul about taking out a shirt sponsorship.
If you know any friends or family with a business then recommend they try advertising through the club via the match day programmes, advertising hoardings or even Match Day sponsorship.
At least these methods people get something in return, and the club gain considerably more funds compared to people chucking a couple of quid in a bucket.

This idea was bandied about a week or so ago - a facility for fans to make a donation to go solely towards strengthening the squad by bringing in a loan signing, but we've heard nothing since. Is it still going ahead? It's all well and good discussing it on here, but that will have no effect unless its actually implemented. The sooner it gets sorted, the more match opportunities we can give to any player coming in and the more effective it will be.
We've had a couple of disappointing results but the title is still within reach if we can start another run at home on Saturday. Whilst we've brought a young right-back in, judging by our line-up today with 5 central midfielders, Kurtis injured, Jon Main seemingly out of favour, bringing in another winger/striker on loan could be beneficial. Let's do all we can to capitalise on the excellent position we find ourselves in.
I know there are plenty of us on here who are sceptical about making donations to the club itself, but are more than happy to rummage in our pockets and give Jamie what he needs, and Saturday would seem like the ideal time to do it. Set up a stall in a prominent position, as we do with the programme sales and get a member of WUSA or whoever it may be to take charge of the collection. COYWs
I put this option out there to a few members of the forum last week and didn't get a great response Boost the budget is there but happy to oversee this if people Want to contribute I await feedback
Ok, perhaps if all those who would be willing to contribute to a Promotion Push Fund - however big or small an amount - could say so on here so we can see where we're at

Any contribution I make will not be to either WUSA's 'boost the budget' nor to the player sponsorship as I do not want my money to be swallowed up into the cash flow of either WUSA nor WUFC. If 30 of us put in £50 each (or 50 put in £30) that's £1.5k. That might be enough to get Loick back for a month or two, which would be a great boost.

Chris, you are very misinformed about Boost the budget, WUSA contribute to it and also administer it for non member/members to contribute into it. Then it gets paid into the club so they can pay the players, you cannot just pay the players directly as you may find it breaks some rules. The club also have to pay tax on this. One off donations could be made, but you want it to go directly to the playing budget source, which is exactly where BTB goes. We have a place on the board and regular contact with the Jamie, so are always accountable where the money goes. I can only see this extra scheme as creating more hassle and replicating something that is already successful.

In a nutshell, if people want to help fund extra players for a promotion push, join the BTB scheme. I'm sure Matt would be happy to receive a few more contributions.
If anyone wishes to make an anonymous donation to BTB no matter how large or small we do have a jar on the shop counter. Money is passed to WUSA treasurer for onwards transmission to Jamie.
Loick can be hit and miss - but anyone who doesn't think his quality would improve our side must have a very short memory. No chance of getting Pugh in, he might be playing out of position but he's still on the teamsheet most weeks.
Is it possible to, for one game only on Saturday, give the BTB jar a bit more of a prominent place as I suggested in the first post? Get a table right by the turnstiles with a couple of WUSA members shouting out market-style.

Thank you Matt. My thoughts exactly.
I think a BTB raffle might be a good idea, considering the Christmas traffic did quite well.
Pires would be superb, You can tell from his first interview at Boreham Wood he wants to be appreciated and encouraged. You saw the damage he did for us, if you didnt see it you are just a hater. Having said that it was his choice to go to Woking when i would assume he was offered terms to stay and Jamie said hes never even considered bringing Loick in on loan as he doesnt have the funds.
I would have him back in a heartbeat and he would strengthen the squad.

Don't we have two of those already (if the manager selects them)
The best goals for record in the division and amongst the best goals against records (before shipping five last week)
Doesn't seem like a lot wrong there. If the manager sees a player who can make a difference (and more importantly we can fund said player for a month or two) then we might be able to help him towards that??

Volunteers for leafleting the Christmas offer were requested both on here and at a WUSA meeting? How many fans do you think came forward?
