The one that was laughable is when Palmer? had Anthony from behind by his waist then his foot and Mr Butler ignored it, There is absolutely no way on earth that isnt a yellow and a stern talking to. 2 mins later Palmer dives near the box and gets a soft free kick. There were us/them incidents that were treated quite differently all game. Thats why the crowd and players were frustrated and wondered what he was doing... or why he was doing it rather. A refereeing performance that with live long in the minds of Wings fans for the the polar opposite of those that referee well.

KHM also only plays well when we are 3-0 up.

What's that all about? Ask the Havant defence if he didn't play today! He put in some excellent crosses and twice he set up opportunities for Jon Main. on top of that he should have had a penalty in the last minute.

One thing I like about him is that if he misses a chance he doesn't go AWOL and will bust a gut to be in a good position next time Welling are on the attack.

I'd like to see more from Kiernan at times. He doesn't hide and has great pace but rarely beats his man when one on one and doesn't always seem in control of his own feet.

The last time we beat Havant (also 1-0) we went on to win another 11 league games.  If we could do that again, or get close to it, the title will be ours.

Yes and on both occasions these gritty 1-0 wins have followed 2-1 away defeats where we have not played well.  Would be great if history continues to repeat itself.

On a couple of occasions this season I have posted on here in defence of referees who I felt had been rather  harshly treated on this forum.  However I can make no defence for Mr. Butler who I felt was truly abysmal and as has been said the great majority of his questionable decisions seemed to go one way.  I have heard of refs being described as "homers" many times, is there such a thing as an "awayer"?

He just seemed to make no decisions ... there were so many fouls that he let go its untrue ... in both directions, but 70/30 against us.

Havant are a physical team it seems based on what I saw in that one game, if they play like that against Chelmo and Salisbury then I fancy they will get something from one of those games, and thats good news for us.

I would question his ability but I don't think it's on to question his integrity. Thought that all of our yellows apart from Jake, were correct, but don't understand why they didn;t have an equal number booked. For those of you who know him, Andy Legg was a very welcome visitor yesterday and while he will stand up for referees even he couldn't fathom why a penalty wasn't given.

The penalty (or non penalty) was as clear cut as you would get.......I always have a view that you get them more often if the ref hasnt been moaned at during the game....it s a hard one isnt it......we want the team to 'play' the ref BUT does it count against us sometimes

Think there is a good chance for a high attendance on Tuesday as all school are on half term. Litho ugh a few of them have quite a few trips abroad but still think we could get about 450-600 on Tuesday. COYW

It is a midweek game in February (and scheduled by the league) when there is also live Champions League football on ITV??

I think we will do well to get anywhere near your bottom estimate although I would love to be proved wrong.....
