Not near the ground. The good pubs are two and a half miles away in the city centre.

Any train catching bods like myself ... 12:20 out of Waterloo .. gets into Salisbury at 13:42 .. quick walk to the Tesco's then the 501 to the Old Sarum (20 mins) and a smidgen of a walk (2/3 mins) .. the 12:50 gets in at 14:19 so yer cutting it fine and possibly also relying on a late running 501

or you can walk through the town then along the dual carriageway and risk death for an hour  smile

I walked last year as I couldn't find the bus after getting a bit lost. Once you go under the ring road it's just a couple of miles up to the ground, no dual carriageway and nice paved road all the way (one long road). Must admit I got the bus back.

Looked like a Dual Road on the map , if that's the case I'm walking it if it's just a paved road .. cheers!

Any suggestions on train travel. Seems that return from Welling is £42.20, just wondering if there is a cheaper option by train?

Great, thanks. So if anybody has not booked yet. It works out at 27.80 each for three of us and 21.05 for 4 from Welling. There are two of us at present.

Anyone meeting at Welling or Waterloo train station that has not bought a ticket yet, PM me. Would be good to reduce the cost of train ticket from £42. If not who cares, still see you there.

I would recommend people getting the National Express coach for £10. Yes you'll have to get a cab/bus from Salisbury Coach Station but then you'd have to get a cab/bus from the train station as well.

Plus if you it book the coach seats via the WUSA eStore then WUSA get some money as well.

Getting a lift down as staying overnight but anyone who has a railcard (Senior/young persons/network) it brings the cost down to just under £28 return

Call me a nerd but it would almost be worth buying a Network card (£28) as that would give you and up to 3 others a third off. So you would recoup the cost in a single trip and have the benefits of the card for a whole year!

Just a quick thank you to all involved in organising the coaches for the last two matches. Great to meet and spend time with others whom I do not normally get to do so. The wonderful thing about the Welling United fans is that everyone seems so friendly. And that's just great.

If that was the space left I'm glad I ended up on the train wink

Realistically missing the coach was probably an omen for the rest of the day, I chose to ignore it, more fool me

Yep, I'd second that too. Thanks to those who organised it for the benefit of others who otherwise wouldn't usually be able to get there. Im sure the players appreciate the extra support too.

I can only hope Trigger expands on his mini bus idea and stretches to a 59 seater with cinema, sky TV, ps3, kitchen and leather seats. Charging a fiver a game will see him recoup the outlay in under 100 years.

I am sure everyone agrees.
