For me its a return to some of the grounds when we were in the Prem before, Northers are also more friendly than Southers, We would also be in the final FA Cup qualifying round, Crowds would rise. More press exposure, Live TV Game very possible of a league game.
Would be good if everyone posted on this thread just to show the players why they want to go up and that it would mean a lot to the fans.

Nostalgia for me - along with the reasons others have said. I was 8 years old when we got relegated and it still feels like that's the league we belong in. COYWs!

For me its simple. I just want that feeling of winning something, as a football fan its not a feeling I have experinced, so to see us win something would mean the world. Also I think the players deserve it and more importantly the fans deserve it as well. Got to go earn it now.
A great way to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Wings. Jamie and the players deserve it having come so close on two previous occasions - the first time with points deducted for off-the-field problems. Then they battled on despite a transfer embargo and obvious exhaustion. We, the fans, deserve success too for saving our club when called upon. Please, let's do it and spare no effort on the pitch and off of it.
For lots of reasons being 10 when we won the southern league by 23 points was amazing and I would love my 9 year old to have the same feeling I had for one.
We will get BIGGER crowds as more away fans travel at the higher level. oh and soccer saturday when we are away if you cant get to games or dont have internet (my Dad)
And because I feel we progessed in each of Jamie's seasons as manager and what better way to top off the start of the 50th club celebrations
I would just like to see us back at the top table of non league football after a 14 year absence. I realise a lot has changed since then and it would be a real struggle to compete but it will be nice to see some bigger crowds at PVR and visit some decent size clubs away from home although I am not really looking forward to segregation. Also, by entering the FA Cup at the fourth qualifying round stage, we might not **** up and we could get to the first round again and bag a nice tv game....
Would be a fitting reward for the management team who have knocked on the door in the last two seasons and for the fans who have stuck with us through thin and thinner and for those who dug deep to save the club a couple of years ago.
Yep...a mixture of all of those...namely 1. If your in it....you must want to win it! 2. I never really believed I would ever see it 3. 50th year celebrations (Graham would be proud) 4. Show other teams it isn't the ground that wins things 5. Show other teams it isn't the crowd size that wins things 6. Have better crowds at PVR 7. More away support rather than the very few that many teams bring 8. Better chance of sponsorship or a buyer 9. Maybe (but don't hold your breath) the council may notice more 10. The main reason though is that I think we are the best in the division
Finance wise we would be more secure, which then makes for a more stable club in years to come for the next generatiion of supporters.
Having bigger away support at PVR, think the Grimsby game - that could be like that most weeks.
We tend to raise our game against better sides, yes its going to be a tough job to compete against the big boys, but we can do it.
Won't be able to get to as many away games but some new grounds to be seen all the same.
Better coverage in all forms of media of our games.
Feel as if we have more than done our time in the BSS, & now is the right time to be going up, WE ARE READY!
As mentioned by others, a payback to all the supporters who helped keep the club alive, & what away to celebrate 50 years!
It was said after last years PO final in my group, that come next year, lets do it all again BUT lets win this league! Our 3rd go with Jamie & lets hope 3rd time lucky!
Yeah we would take a playoff promotion place, but we have a great chance now to secure it as CHAMPIONS, so lets grab it with both hands!

Would be brilliant to see the Wings up in the Conf!
Like so many have said already be brilliant for the club. They showed against Grimsby what there capable of doing, yeah it was a one off cup game and welling we're going to be up for it but i'd be confident in saying they would compete well in there.
For me it would bring back so many good memories of my youth and watching the Wings home and away around the country. Missing out on a few qualifying rounds in the FA Cup will be great too, the possibility of long cup runs and league sides coming to PVR is mouth watering and a plus for the club's coffers. I will be able to show my daughters that supporting the Wings isnt so bad after all as we will get mentioned on the final score!

It's good to see what Braintree are doing, beating good sides home and away and enjoying a 2nd safe season, for a part time club with small attendances. We'd get bigger gates than they are, so they are proof of what the Conference can bring
Having supported the club since the 80's I've seen many ups and downs.
This is the best squad and management team we've had in a long time and I feel that they deserve the chance to show other teams what you can do on a small budget if your team has heart and spirit.
For me an interesting question is:
If we go up as champions and get the cup on the last home game how many 'long term supporters' do you think will come out of the dark.
I always remember us playing at Orient in the FA cup and a 'long standing supporter who hadn't missed a game in years' asking me why Phil Handford wasn't playing. When I told him that Phil had left the club some time beforehand he just walked away looking rather sheepish.

I have supported the club since 86 the first season in the Conference but have lived over in Northern Ireland for a long time now. This unfortunately curtails my attendance but doesnt diminish my love for the club. Personally i hope loads of 'long term supporters' come out of the woodwork as this will only be of a benefit for the club and its financial position...by the way how many goals has John Bartley scored this season and is Alan Rogers still between the sticks?

I want us to go up so that when we have our end of season chinese buffet, it will be a fantastic celebratory dinner.
Although it would be far more expensive, and the segregation at some grounds woudn't be the best of fun, I would love to see this team playing at that level and the thought of good numbers of away supporters turning up at PVR is very appealing.
I have only supported the Wings since 2005 (since i was 11) and it is s*d's law that the year i go to Uni the team have the strongest promotion push :) seriously though it would be nice to see more people around Bexleyheath wearing Welling tops rather than further afield premier league clubs (eg Man United)

Bexleyheath the only shirts you normally see up there are Chelsea tops!

Ditto. played alot with limited success, follow Millwall so enough said. Welling United are looking at an opportunity. I would love to see them take it.

Well analysed Mr Fat Cabby, I concur with your reasoning.
Well since supporting them in the 2nd season of the conference we have had just one league movement, one relegation so would be great to have a promotion too.
Whilst the conference years were mostly a struggle the fa cup runs more than made up for them
I not sure trees in the ground will save us next season
Being the sad git i am the only teams with a more static league career then us since 86 are... Arsenal,Man United,Liverpool,Everton,Spurs......does that make us the 6th most consistant team in the country
To watch fixtures like Welling United v Plymouth Argyle etc.
Excites me just thinking about it.
Don't excite me as it means I will have to look up the ex
Being serious though I think the players, management and fans deserve this after what has happened to the club over the past few years. I hope I will be able to get to some of the distant games but not looking forward to segregation.
Similar to what had already been posted but some big games at pvr, increased national exposure and reward for the teams hard work over the last few years.
Many, many reasons why I want the Wings to go up... 1) Reward for both the teams and the players for their hard and excelent achievements this and last season 2) To show that they try their hardest constantly 3) Reward for us, the fans, for attending every game possible 4) The financial income which would be pumped into the club from promotion 5) The advertisement the games would get, maybe even live games, streamed by Premier Sports and 6) To rub it in the dirty Dirtford fan at school just to show that we're playing with the big boys now and that we are here to stay!
As a relatively newbie to the Wings, I never had the chance to see the great sides of the past and would love to see them go up as champions, something that this current side deserves. The whole team / management have been outstanding so far this season and long may it continue. More exposure in the media will hopefully bring in bigger crowds.
Being brutally honest I didn't think, barring someone injecting a fortune into the club, that I would see the day we returned. I was there in our first season, 1986-7, when everyone thought it would be a breeze to stay up and we got taught a harsh lesson. If we manage it, it is a totally different League to the one we left and their are some big clubs playing at that level. Cannot praise Jamie and the management team enough for what they have done. It shows you can splash as much cash as you like, but unless the players buy into what you are trying to achieve and you create spirit among the squad, it means nothing.
