Apparently Dartford has withdrawn from the Kent Senior Cup because of fixture congestion. Frankly, if ever there was a case for playing the KSC in pre-season then this is it. Instead of tame friendlies we could have meaningful confrontations and a cup final before the season starts in earnest - and teams playing their full first team squads (apart from, possibly, Charlton and Gillingham).
