Dover result a real surprise, don't know what happened there. Our match was really poor quality - looked like a relegation scrap rather than a top of the table clash. Salisbury were just less bad than us on the day. We also picked up a few unnecessary bookings. We need to play a lot better than that on Tuesday and hope Dover also up their game.
Nobody's gonna be more disappointed than the lads. Particularly as they've got to demonstrate they can hack it at the next level. a couple are struggling to show they can play at this level. Today's display is probably going to give Jamie a headache with regards to the team selection on Tuesday.
Today's also reminded us we have to ignore other team's results and the league table itself. There are only a handful of games left and we need a win from every single one.
Was a shame that the players were below par today, but let us not forget that they have been phenomenal all season which is why we are on top of the league.
Ok, we lost, but we win together and we lose together, but we all move on and hopefully we'll go up together.
They wont win all of their games either......with a full squad we would have easily won....I hear they have no keeper after the suspension kicks in...thats interesting
Right, firstly thanks to all the Welling supporters who made the trip(I gather the ref follows you as well), I hope you enjoyed seeing your team being given a lesson in class by a Salisbury not even at their best. We were quite poor today I thought-played too mcuh hoof ball- and although Welling had plenty of possesion, didn't do anything. One of the dirtiest teams I've seen this season. Constantly tactical fouling, so all their players get yellows instead of reds-and there should've been some second yellows. A lot of obstruction by them too. Diving all over the place-be interesting to see the Puddy sending off again, didn't look like a red but far away from it. When we got it down and ran with Stu and Chris down the wing we glided through their defence, until when we passed to our strikers-Fitch and White- and since they were through on goal they'd take them out. If Welling do go up-which annoyingly they probably will-they will get thrashed to oblivion in the Conference, plus refs will come down harder on them. First goal by Jamie, what an error by the keeper! But oh well, a goal's a goal. Second goal was a nice finish. They were lucky with the penalty after Puddy got sent off-stupid thing to do with no backup keeper, let them score and save yourself, now we need another keeper on an emergency loan- as it hit the post. McPhee-after a few poor kicks, although they did stay on the pitch unlike someone's - did very well in goal. Good win against a dirty side, I'm sure we'll be seeing them at the Ray Mac next season as well. _________________ It seems as if the ref is their 12th man.
Are we paying the ref from Boost the Budget as well -erm?
Id like to thank the 25 Salisbury fans that came to pvr earlier this season and the 15 that came to Last seasons game at pvr. They saw their team beaten both times. About 200 Welling there today. Will pay for their scoreboard.

Yes we were poor today but as their programme pointed out which team has the best attacking record in the league - Welling, which team has the best defensive record in the league (goals per game) - Welling. Oh and the most clean sheets. That's why we are top of the league
