Take out Healy and Ross and its close,, due to injuries and the fact Healy and Lafayette have been sensational and consistent I think its a two horse race.
Some players might look big prices but thats only because Healy and Lafayette are so favoured to win it. In a bookies the others would be bigger but that would be a Tad disrespectful but everyone after Jake Gallagher should be 25s or more in a fair book

Agree 100% with the first four favourites, Gallagher, AA, Ross and Juan Joe would all be worthy winners.
HOWEVER
I simply can't give my vote to anyone other than Ross Lafayette, and it's not just down to his goals. Prior to Maidenhead he was the player dragging us through when we were playing badly. It's easy to play well when you have 10 other guys in good form and helping you out - but at that time he was the one rolling up his sleeves, taking the game by the scruff of the neck and making things happen. I also can't over-emphasise his importance to the way the team plays - if you don't have Ross holding the ball up, and working his nuts off running the channels all day, then the likes of Joe Healy and Jake Gallagher don't get the space in which to do their stuff.
The guy also gets lumps kicked out of him several times per game, yet how many games has he missed? I can't remember any! If we win the title, no player will have earnt it more than him.

As anyone who stands near me will know, I'm a big Acheampong fan. He's young, he's come into and established himself in the team in the last few seasons and chips in with goals at one end and puts important challenges in at the other.
But the top two stand out and I can't choose between them.
Lafayette has scored consistently all season versus Healy the crowd favourite who can make anything happen and often does.
It's a tough call this season which reflects the fact I think it'll be regarded as more of a team acknowledgement this year. Not because of what we've done, where we are and that we get over the finish line, but because we've done it with injuries to key players over most of the season (mostly Cumbers and Faz, but others as well).

Voting slips will be available at the table outside the shop at tomorrows game for supporters to vote for their player of the season. prior to kick-off
Im going for Mott. Very few mistakes this season. Yes he made an error at Salisbury but other than that, its hard to pick out when hes done any wrong. Pulled off some key saves this season, especially at home to Truro. JT is a top class keeper and Mott has managed to keep him out of the season. He has shown spirit and determination for the team and put his body on the line where need be. Mott is my POTS.
I'm really torn between the top three on JGFC's betting list, although Acheampong perhaps didn't have such a good start to the season as the other two.
Healy has been quality, we've missed him while he's been out - but where would we have been without Ross up front? Hmmm, plenty to think about prior to casting my vote tomorrow.
The top two have played more games, scored more goals and done it all season. Although outstanding recently, Mott and AA were not as good at the start of the season. Healy is different class as a footballer at this level, if only he had pace !! Ross brilliant attitude and crucial to the way we play ... no-one else could play that one up top role as well. One of those two for me, with Mott or AA as most improved without doubt.

If Healy had pace he wouldn't be playing at this level.
The others have all been superb and are lucky or unlucky to have Healy and Ross in the team. Just the way it is. Most improved player would be Gallagher, first season in senior football, played center mid, center half, left back and improved all season for me. Acheampong has always had the abiity, this season his consistency has improved and he's a beast now. Most of this squad would walk into a side challenging in this league. Nuff said.

I think Joe Healy is not only the best player at Welling but possibly the best player in the league. His discipline has also improved massively this year, the only thing that used to let him down.
Ask me who I think is the better footballer - Joe or Ross - and it's Joe hands down. You could ask me about any player in non-league, and I'd still tell you Joe is better. He's that good. A certain Welling player told me last week that "Joe Healy is technically good enough to play in the Championship". As we say every month, imagine if he had pace...
Whilst he'd be a worthy winner, this is a "Player of the season" vote, not "The best player at Welling United". If Joe wins it on this season alone, then fair play, but I hope people don't vote for him on the basis that he's been here a few seasons, has been consistently very good, and hasn't won the award yet.
This has been a party political broadcast for the "Ross Lafayette for Player Of The Season" party
So many of the players have been exceptional this season and Healy as a playmaker is a joy to watch (Daisy was as good under Pennock and is unsurpassed with a dead ball still though Obersteller's not far off). Lafayette's goals have been essential but at home we've been sensational in defence as a general rule (simply no way through for the oppo at times). The player who's performances I've enjoyed most at PVR this season has been Acheampong, consistently outstanding most games. Was pretty good last season too. Remarkable improvement since he first joined the Club.
Very close to call this year as others have already said.
I think this is the best squad we've had since I've been going to PVR. Without the injuries we would have been celebrating winning the title weeks ago.
I'm torn between Joe, Ross and Louie.
I also think a special mention should be made for the guys that regularly sit on the bench and who have more than played their part in where we are now.
Well, after careful consideration, my 50p bet will be as follows; Half of it on myself to win, the other half on Stuart to win and the other half on JgFc to win.
