As we all know, we could win the league at Boreham Wood away next week. Their home attendance is normally VERY poor so let's all try and turn it into a home game for the lads.

For anyone who has an Oyster card, you can use this to get to Elstree and Borehamwood station as this is in zone 6.

http://www.tfl.gov.uk/assets/downloads/london-rail-and-tube-services-map.pdf

As it's the weekend the off-peak day travelcard for zones 1-6 on Oyster is £8.50, and £8.90 for a paper off-peak day travelcard.

http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tickets/14416.aspx

Ticket's for the game are £12. Let's outnumber the home support and cheer the lads onto victory and the title.

according to google maps there's a huge Tescos not far from there. Probably the cheapest car park round there.

Depending on where you live, it may be best to go via public transport, as by car you'll have to go round the houses via the M25.

A day travelcard would probably be cheaper than the petrol money and parking fees, although like I said it depends on how many people are travelling with you and/or where you live.

The fat lady may be clearing her throat but we must not think that it's now a formality.  We need to remember that both of the remaining fixtures were defeats last season.

Over 800 were supporting the Wings today.  It would be great if at least half of that number made the trip next week to cheer the team on to the title and promotion.

I drove to the game last season, and there was plenty of room at their ground.

Thanks for that. Shame they don't advertise parking facilities at their ground, on their website.

 Where from?

Generally it's best to get train or tube to St Pancras, then a train to Elstree and Borehamwood.

Check the TfL journey planner for the best route from yours.

Yeah, that looked best way to me but the TFL planner was suggesting a train from London Bridge to Blackfriars and then straight to Elstree.

It's the same train from Blackfriars or St Pancreas. You just need to work out the best place to pick it up.

They do not have a car park but there is loads of street parking + a large public car park at one end go the ground.

There are plenty of options - the train goes through Elephant and Castle, Blackfriars, City Thameslink, Farringdon, St Pancras. And its direct from Wimbledon.

Like I said before check the Transport For London journey planner for the best route for you.

www.tfl.gov.uk

If going by public transport the Travelcard and match ticket won't cost more than £20:80. So let's all get down there in numbers and treat it like a play off final!

Remember if we win, we're up!

I was just curious if anyone had past experience of travelling there and knew the most efficient route, as you can jump on the train at multiple stations as mentioned. Looks like train to London Bridge then tube to St Pancras could be best option.

It is really easy from any of the stations. From Welling I think the Northern Line from London Bridge to St Pancras looks a good option, although I like the back street walks around London on a Saturday for a stroll from Waterloo East to City Thameslink - crossing the river at either Southwark or Blackfriars Bridge (some decent enough pubs on the way) would be equally appealing to me

Train to Cannon Street and walk to Blackfriars isn't bad either.

Last season i got the 486 bus to North Greenwich then the Jubilee Line direct to West Hampstead, then a five minute walk to West Hampstead overground station than a train from there to Elstree & Boreham Wood. Once you get to North Greenwich the journey takes less than an hour.

That's the way I would go although for me the 422 to North Greenwich is a better option.

Boreham Woods official site states: -

By Train - You can catch the train out of St Pancras International to Elstree and Borehamwood. When you come out of the train station, turn right and walk down Borehamwood High Street until you come to McDonalds on your left. Turn left into Brook Road.

Bit strange as there is no Borehamwood High Street. No wonder they don't get big crowds with directions like that.

What they should have said is: -

Come out of the station and turn left up to The Crown pub. Turn right into Shenly Road and walk up to the big roundabout just past McDonalds.

Turn left at the roundabout into Brook Road then turn right into Broughinge Road where the ground is. It's just under a mile walk.

My last visit to Boringwood was when we played them in the FA Cup and they had bar segregation because of the "violent wing fans" only for me to be confronted by some pre pubescent teen giving it large

Was there at Hednesford will be there at Boringwood

Don't forget if you are using the Bexleyheath Line you also have the choice (if you can call it that) to change at Nunhead.

You can also try the following:  WELLING TO DENMARK HILL / DENMARK HILL TO ELEPHANT & CASTLE / ELEPHANT & CASTLE TO BOREHAMWOOD. THE 12.22 GETS YOU THERE BY 13.45. PLUS YOU CAN THEN GET A BUS 306 OR 292 TO WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF GROUND

Also Bus 107 (towards New Barnet) from the station to near the ground so plenty to choose from.

You're a star! Trying to get one of my mates from New Barnet to come to the game. Thanks for that.

Just remember if using this route, the last train back from Denmark Hill is 19:48.
