Stockport County are the first ex league side to be relegated to the second step of non-league football for on pitch activities (or lack thereof). Other league teams dropping down the pyramid have been to financial irregularities etc.

 

Don't know where I saw it reported but Premier TV will not be broadcasting Conference Football next season so there will not be any TV money for league games.

 

Our friend Mr Foster has posted on the Chelmsford City forum that, due to lack of a sponsor, teams will have to pay a levy to cover the leagues admin costs.  Just hope the league gets a sponsor very soon.

The declline of Stockport has been remarkable. Championship not so long ago, now in a lower league than Welling!
