COME ON YOU WINGS! What a feeling what a season and what a team! Well done and congratulations to a super set of players watch out the PREMIER......THE WINGS ARE GOING UP........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Feels great now that it is official. Whilst it was never really in doubt, it still feels much better now it's truly over. Will be great to see us on SSN and in the Papers with the (C) next to our name!
When we won the Southern league in 86, I was too young to appreciate the achievement (and the fact that we wouldn't win promotion again for 27years). I really do appreciate the achievement this time; Saturday is going to be such a fantastic celebration. I am so proud.
Fantastic. Saturday can now be a real celebration of what we've achieved over the last 3 seasons. I hope it's a really big turnout to acknowledge just what a brilliant achievement this is. Having lost some key players either leaving to go to other clubs or through injury and then talk of a reduced budget to finish as champions, superb.
Alan_Alger_ I'll be at Park View Road on Saturday to present Welling United with the Blue Square Bet South trophy. Saw my first Conference game there!!!
Agreed,a season long victory over the so called bigger and better teams. They didn't have what we had though.....a unique and special team spirit that comes along very rarely and makes this so much more special.
Oh dear, I'm blubbing now - never thought I would celebrate this again in my lifetime. Through all the turmoil, pitching in to help save the club in its darkest hour - in 35 years of supporting this club I am now an emotional but happy wreck. Sod the Premiership, this is where it matters - and a massive thank you to all of our players and management team who have battled through adversity to win this championship. So proud of you boys and so proud of our "little" club.
