We had great friendlies last season, possibly could get a proper first team from the premier league or a mixed team at least or one from the championship this season.
Invite Rangers down?
We really could get some good games if Jamie wants them with the 50 year thing added to us being back in the Conference Premier.

From the looks of Charlton's forum they have a fair few supporters coming to PVR on Saturday, although for some reason they can't understand our obsession with Kriss Akabusi...
Anyone who was at Princes Park will have witnessed unpleasant conditions, treatment on and off the pitch. Never forget as Take That sang.
To invite them for a friendly would be bending over and say do it again when you like.
Lets take 6 points off them next season and start paying them back. The sad thing is their ground cant segregate comfortably but ours can and not just squeezing in 200 plus fans at the last minute into 25% of the ground..
Would rather invite Maidstone, AFC Wimbledon etc etc if you want fans to turn up with the oppo.

I hope that now we are in Conference Premier we should get some good away Friendlies and not have to go down to Vcd, and cray vally
Let's not starting getting BBB after one promotion.
We want big clubs to come to us yet we are don't want to play some Kent League sides??
As long as the pitches are in decent condition, and the teams don't try and kick lumps out of us, then I have no problem with us fitting in a couple of games against Kent League sides.
It's always nice to get the bigger teams down to us but we should also remember that to some teams we are a bigger team so we should still go the kent league teams and it is always good to get a mixture of different levels of teams, but I think the 4 team tournament is a good idea to celebrate our 50 years,
Getting Ranger's down is not such a bad idea, especially as there was talk of them joining the conference as a starting point in getting them into the english leagues, and we are now a conference team
I always feel where possible friendly games at home should be against higher league teams and away against lower league teams. That way the higher level team is giving something back to the community in the form of financial assistance to the teams lower down the pyramid. Charlton come to us, we get a good gate which could be a good few weeks wage bill. We go to (for example) Cray Valley PM they get a good gate and a fortune behind the bar. In each case both sets of fans get a good day out.
We should also remember over the past few years we have got some excellent players from league below us. Herne Bay and Thamesmead Town come to mind.
Dartford in a friendly after the way they treated us? HAVE A WORD. I hope when we segregate them we give them a crap area and poor view and refuse their people access like they did to some of ours.
Charlton, Gillingham, Maidstone United, Guernsey, Rangers, Bournemouth, or a decent premier league mixed team.

Would be quite happy with away friendlies at Ebbsfleet, Sutton or Farnborough or how about the new Conference South team, Whitehawk. Who fancies a summer's day trip to Brighton?
I only said Dartford becuase I tohught they would bring a bigger crowd if there was a 4 team tournament and surley they would be no need for segergation when we play them
Not going to argue with you over this it is only my opinion, I thought it was a good idea, I was at the play off final and quite enjoyed the day if not the result or the performance

That's a good question.. What's with that obsession?

Whitehawk have announced today that they will play next season as Brighton City FC.
Seems to be a recent trend for clubs to change their names on winning promotion (Langney Sports, Bly Spartans, VTFC etc). Just hope we don't think about doing the same.
