Let's go unbeaten at home, the only team to beat us in the league were Eastleigh in a game we took our foot off the gas. Let's go for it as we owe them one. Crowd prediction 1957

It may be wet tomorrow afternoon so can I just make a plea for the umbrella hoggers to wear a hat or bring some shampoo and make practical use of the rain please, last thing we need is for views to be spoilt with a big crowd expected. Really looking forward to this, hopefully a good game between two good teams followed by loud and long celebrations. Lets all head off into the long summer months on an even bigger high!
I wonder if Eastleigh will go out for the win and hope that both Dover and Chelmsford will slip up in their games as this would give them third place and home advantage in the 2nd leg of the semi-final?
I would imagine they will rest players not wanting to pick up suspensions/injuries. Dover and chelmsford could both win and render their chance of swapping places impossible, not worth the risk.
eeeeeeeeeeewwww, sorry but I can't agree with that, I have always thought Carroll was a waste of untold millions.... he's too slow and lazy for a 'Pool striker, and even though he started to improve and be a better provider up front, I much prefer Sturridge/Cannibal as a front duo. Ther's definitely more 'bite' up front with them!!!!!

They may feel that they would have a better chance of beating Salisbury over two legs rather than a one off at the Ray Mac where Salisbury were only beaten once.
What an amazing 3 years, from the threat of being wound up to the disappointment of losing the play off final to champions. I hope there's a massive crowd today. Not so long ago that people were talking about us ending up in the Kent League and about the club not wanting promotion. What the team has achieved is incredible
GREEAAATTT! my simple math musta deserted me, I just realised I could've stayed in bed another hour...... I've been wondering why this thread was so silent!!!
Yeah just seen Guthrie scored for the champions. My opinion on Carroll is you have to play to his strengths and have wingers that cross the ball, he is not worth all them millions but neither is Torres who went for 50 million! Carroll gives you that other option that Liverpool don't have one of the reasons why it has not worked we'll this season. Rodgers has only one of playing and if it does not work he brings on like for like. That's my two cents worth!
I couldn't agree more Brad, selling Torres when we did for that price was the coup of the century! He did great for us in the early days, but we got rid of him at the perfect time and for the perfect price - and then wasted the money..... I just don't think Carroll would ever really fit the Red Army, I really wish we could have kept Kuyt... he's a workhorse, and I loved watching him play.
I think Rodgers has more to learn, but he's been doing a decent job, I'm happy to give him one more full season to start showing up the style and power we will need to win the title.... and you're right, he needs to get a little more creative tactically.
SO, oi!!! Welling Utd, any chance of even a player list for today's game????? I know you are all enjoying the Champion feeling, but we would like to join in somewhat in our limited fashion..... I got up at 6am hoping to see a full screen, and loads of posts.......
LOL Brad, I guess it must be, I can't imagine today of all days being bereft of supporters. They're probably all just too danged excited toreach for their smart phones in the way they normally do!
