According to the BBC, he has been sacked from Chelmsford after four years.  It appears a bit harsh, but that is the nature of the beast I guess.

Ah. The manager who jumped out of the dugout to get Jamie Day sent off a couple of years ago. I'll shed no tears.

I also think he laid his cards on the table at the start of the season by saying they were going to up the budget to get promotion. When you've said something like that, you don't have many options!
