I cant wish good luck to them after their bollocks when we played them in the FA Trophy. Calling us Sunday football club, slagging us off in the press and online and screaming that the game was announced as a Sunday game 3 or 4 days before it was due to be played as we had just won the previous round that night!!. and Erith were at home on the Saturday. HOW THE FECK had they booked travel etc when they didnt know if they were going down the road to Tamworth.
SGL was an ok old ground, but talking of clubs being a shambles, how do you sell the ground you own... then end up homeless and potless? Good one Worcester.

I think Mark's post may be a bit premature. Official WCFC tweeted 2 hours ago asking people to visit their offices today to buy season tickets so it seems fair to say that no decision has yet been taken. They are looking at selling a minimum of 700 at £100 each to finance playing at Kidderminster but as of last night had sold 357.
Good luck to them. Wouldn't want to see them fold, though Corby, who would be reprieved from relegation, may have a different view.

Speculation on national forum it could be Hornchurch who get reprieved. Wouldn't care to bet on it but my friends in the far east could place a couple of pennies on the outcome

In fairness to Worcester, it was only the chairman (Boddy?) who got abusive in the press and most of their supporters had little / no time for him.
Decent supporters do not deserve to see things like that happen to their club.
Lots of their fans joined in on the forums and ripped into us to be fair. Dont like seeing clubs go belly up, but some get no sympathy when theyve crossed swords with us and been tools.

It wasn't just in the press though, was it - he was ranting and raving at the end of the game, threatening to report WUFC to all and sundry because, for example, his manager wasn't adequately prevented from getting at the referee's assessor. And all this with Graham having collapsed in the exec lounge.

You've ripped into other clubs on their boards. Maybe one or two Worcester supporters had a dig at Welling (Boddy's lap dogs?) but I would not say the majority deserve to lose a club over mismanagement about which they could do nothing.
I do have to say that some of their more senior supporters standing on the half way line are not people I would be looking to meet for a social beer.

If that might be the case Stortford must be praying that Worcester survive otherwise it could be another season in Conference North for them.

My recollection was their forum and the league forum was full of lots of them slagging us off in the build up to the game, NOT one fan trolling a club.

I rarely look at another club's forum so I may have been oblivious to all that.

Dont these clubs have board of directors? Isnt Boddy now at Newport?
Much easier to let Tescos come and buy your ground and build you a new one and give you some money. These sell the ground to developers jobs have a history of going tits up.

In these straightened times - especially with Government-imposed restrictions on central grants and capping of local government revenue streams (eg Council Tax) - many councils are strapped for cash to run services and looking to sell assets, possibly including land.
True... but you at least have a forum to kick up a fuss... Council meetings or elections. Also, whilst thay could sell of the land, isn't the new stand an EB&Q asset and thus they would have to pay some compensation or leave it standing?
I suspect there are covenants on the land. With the cricket ground next door its a big site and when Bexley United went bust there wasn't exactly a rush to build the Sainsbury store
