Well done to both, thoroughly deserved. Let's hope they've both signed for us before they go out there. I see Harry Beautyman is also in the squad, so hopefully they can have a word in his ear too

Congratulations to Anthony and Fraser, although I also hope that both of them have signed on again for the Wings.  Incidentally, other players could also have a word with them! I do hope that Jamie has set a deadline for players to commit - especially as this year, in the BSP, we will be governed by the transfer window which closes at the end of August and does not open again until January next year.

Well done to both lads (and to Sam Mott for his previous call up)

Recognition can work both ways but it is a sign that if you come to Welling and do well then you can progress.

Dover keeper, Mitch Walker also called up  - would not have thought he was better than Motty.  Did he play for us?

He did indeed. I believe he still makes the occasional save in between his time-wasting antics

Under 23s isn't it? Motty too old?

Preston wotsisname from Ebbsfleet also selected - he must be older than 23 I would have thought, Tom? I stand to be corrected though.

Sam Mott is 24, Preston Edwards is 23.

Thank you, Danson. Tom seems to be right, a team of under 23-year-olds - all commanding fees if they leave their clubs.

Anyone else think it isn't quite right that Paul Fairclough remains England C manager? He's a Director at Barnet (now in our league), and effectively gets a week abroad to get a close look at the rest of the league's best young players and have a word in their ear if he wants to sign them
