Well that puts an end to that - although I don't think he'll be at Cambridge, he won't be at Welling either. Striking options still looking good. Keep the core of what we have, get in a centre back, midfielder and a couple of versatile squad players and we're good to go.
Reid is a bit like Emile Heskey - and I mean that in a nice way. He gives you a focal point that allows the rest of the team to play, but when you look at his individual attributes he's decent, but not outstanding. I'm very happy with the 4 mentioned if that's what we start the season with.
A fit Cumbers added to the 3/4 we have, depending on if KHM signs and plays up front or wide right would be decent, they all have goals in them. If Luis doesnt make a comeback then i am sure Jamie will have someone on his radar.
Hopefully Cumbers stays fit during pre season and he signs a deal of some sort, might be a risk to put him on a full contract this season?

Dartford are trying to throw the cash around in pre season, surpriised they havent offered Wayne Rooney a deal... let them overspend trying to stay up. Any players that want to go there for more money. Let them.

As in, we know JGFC believes you to be Wings63. I'm not saying he's right/wrong - I'm saying it's been repeated enough to warrant not being mentioned in response to every one of your posts.

That means we should get a few more penalties then
Lets hope Healy stays then as who else can take the pens!
In all seriousness I think Pires is worth having as on his day he can provide that bit of magic to turn a game. My concern is that when he played for us before we were more often than not expecting to win games but in the higher division that won't be the case and I do recall his head going down if we were losing. One performance that sticks in the mind is the game away to East Thurroock in the Trophy.
Back on the topic Daisy's views on Loicks return can be read at Kent on line plus some other news It's good to see Matthew Panting getting some stuff again. He always does a decent job. He's my second favourite journalist behind Danson of course
Thanks Bruno - in Jamie we trust, I guess. I just hope that Loick ups his game plan. On his day, he is a match winner and has scored some really great goals for us, but the jury is still out. Loick, prove me wrong and be the leading goal scorer in the BSP.
This reminds me of the initial debate about Joe Healy when Daisy brought him in and played him as a midfielder. I wonder how that turned out? Did Joe become the best midfielder in the league, capable of playing at a far higher level and one of the first names on the team sheet? Trust Daisy, have confidence in Loick and encourage him - he will become an even better player.

Now I am 'really' interested in who Jamie will get up front
We need to see who the replacement is for Jake Reid......and PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAASE dont say Pires.......I mean a goalscorer
He is a goalscorer check the figures. Not an out and out centre forward but holds the ball up well and produces good defensive headers from set pieces against. Can ultimately play anywhere across the front three.

A poor man's Emile Heskey????
Jesus Christ....Jake is far better than that.
On that basis must be better than a few Chelsea players too.

I've seen Roscoe just as quiet/frustrated as Loick at times.
I think the issue I have is when everyone says........'On his day he is great'
Well that is fine...we just need a few more days when he is ON!!!
One in three is not good enough and we will get found out at the higher level
I will give him a chance of course BUT we need another option as we look weak up front right now
Correct me if Im wrong Mark but we are not yet a month since we finished the season? Players will no doubt be considering options, planning holidays and doing all kinds of things other than football. I'm sure that Jamie has matters in hand, don't panic it will all happen I am sure.
We all want to see who has signed asap, just need to have a little patience
I thought Pires in his first season was playing well in 1 in 3 games and in his second season he was more like 2 in 3. He also had great spells where his form was 3 in 3 and was improving all the time. I'm really pleased with him coming back, just need to tie up another striker.
