Firstly my thanks to Graham and Barrie  Hobbins for pointing us in the right direction and also to Bruno for his help.


 


Basically we CAN do live commentary for all games. IF we pay £250 for a yearly licence. We can either do this 2 ways. 1 Sponsorship from a local firm to include advert on radio days/website/free press. Or membership to listen to the Live commentaries.


 


Firstly i need comments in this thread as to who listened before or who would listen regularly to this. Now i believe that this only includes Conference Games so we would need to check if we need to pay for FA Cup/Trophy etc. We are NOT seeking any dispensation as a free independent website for any waiving of fees as that just delays issues. £250 and we had i think 47 people at its peak... so just taking one match if everyone paid for the season they would get access to the live comentaries and password protected broadcast or people could pay more if they thought it worth it and we could broadcast to all.

We also need to get our commentators back on board or get a new person involved. To start with broadcasts will be relayed from the matches live and if it is popular as it was we will broadcast live from the ground with commentator and summariser.


 


Feel free to add any comments. We can do it if we want it, its up to you lot now. We had 90 mins commentary from the first match plus updates and commantaries from other matches. We can do live commentaries from EVERY match.


 


2.1       FCL grants the following rights to the Licensee:


 


2.1.1    Access:- the non-exclusive right to attend the Venue in  order to exercise the Rights;


 


2.1.2    Radio:- the non-exclusive right to transmit full live commentary and post – match highlights of any Match on a national, regional or local basis by all forms of analogue and digital radio transmission.  This right includes the right to inform Listeners of any goal scored in any Match that is not being broadcast live (“the flash score”).  Such flash scores shall not exceed 4x30 second score flashes in each half of a Match and a further 2x30 second score flashes in any extra time (including penalty shoot outs)


 


 


 


 £250 should be easily raisable, if we raise anymore we will give it to the WSU or Club. Its upto you lot now, lets see if we can get it off the ground and if there is a demand for it. Post away chaps.

Great News! Well Done all. Although i must add Demanding £250 from an independent website that will be broadcasting to a niche market is very harsh. I would hope that a sponsor would come forward but if not am willing to get te ball rolling with a £10 pledge, I would imagagine there would be enough people willing to chip in or what was and will be a valuable service and dare i say asset to Welling FC. Any news on when the Commentarys will return?

Ok ta mate, Ive just bought some unlimited webhosting so i can store all the matches on there for future download and listening for people that missed the game. Hopefully we can raise the money from a company willing to sponsor us or through listeners chipping in. Thanks for your pledge.

Wasn't there two commentators? That marshy kid and Mark wasn't it?


Would they be used again? Also isn't there some history or something between you and Wellingmarshmellow? (reading from past threads) (don't worry if you don't want to answer)

Marshy did a full 90 mins commentary and Mark did second half from Histon plus other updates, Both were Excellent and i know they would be welcome to continue if they wanted to. If we get the Radio goingg again and sort the licence hopefully they will be the main commentators.

If you want it you chip in simple. So far we have had £20 in pledges. If people do not want it then i will shelve plans to bring it back. We need to get 250 quid (or close to it) in pledges or find a sponsor for it. If you would like to pledge an amount then email me at cockneynutter@googlemail.com 


The costs to bring a match live is about £15 a game in Telephone charges. I dont mind suffereing that (still will be 600 a year!!) but i wont pay £250 for the privelage of spending another £600 in broadcasting to people who wont chip in.


DO YOU WANT IT OR NOT? If people start chipping in we will get there, if not i will scrap plans to bring Radio Wings Live commentary back.

Here is another benefit, anyone buying James' DVDs need only download the audio commentarys from the back catalogue and use pinnacle to put on the DVD. All matches will be available to download after the games. We will keep the pledges open until the start of next season. If we get enough we will restart the Commentarys. If we receive it before next season we will start it for the next match.


 


 You can pay by paypal/neteller/ or postal order or cheque.  Or shall we go  the Wings World route and charge everyone £14.99 a year? then pocket the profit? We are only looking to cover costs required by the Conference for a licence. If we fork out the 250 then it will be run on different lines to a free service. Its upto you which way we go.

I would say that rather than turn it into a free service anything over £250 should go to the club.

Never doubted you mate, Ive bought the webspace for storing all the games so people can re-listen or download them. Im looking at mobile phone tarifs we will have 50 games a season 2 hours. Looking for a 5p a minute rate which is possible. £6 a match but can swallow that unless we get a deal with loads of free minutes a month. If we get the £250 then the rest goes to the club. Can vote between those donating if its match sponsorship/ball sponsorship or kit sponsored by radio wings or just give them the money, Will also have a paypal donate button on Radio page so if oppo fans or home fans want to donate for listening to the live games they can.


so thats £30 , £10 from bitch ,gary and you so far. Hopefully a major sponsor will wedge in to make it easier to raise.
