Not confirmed by us mind, but by Wealdstone.

Welcome to Welling, Alex

Young and, from the looks of the Wealdstone forum, very highly rated. Features twice in their goal of the season contenders video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i0Sw1FQMlfQ

Very impressive that between the ages of 17 and 19 he played 43 games for Northampton Town in League One and Two so obviously has a lot of raw talent, and I'm sure Daisy can get the best out of him.

Interesting signing. Good luck Alex. As long as we don't have to play friendly at Wealdstone I am happy. One of our worst away trips in recent history.

Maybe Welling prefer to wait for all the paperwork to be in order. He only came back from holiday this weekend.

Good goalscoring record, albeit at a lower level. Could be Clarkie's long term successor. Like the fact Daisy describes him as being a box-to-box midfielder. Must have a good engine on him.

Excited for next season now. A 4-3-3 with the first choice back 5, Gallagher, Healy and Dyer in a midfield trio, with Loick and Cumbers either side of Roscoe. That has everything - pace, power, work rate, creativity. Fingers crossed that those yet to sign do indeed stay with us.

I think most have signed who have to change their work patterns. Clarkie, Joe Healy etc. I think we are waiting to see is Ross is coming back if hes been offered terms. I guess we will find out if Jamie signs another striker.

Heard today that two center backs have left Dartford in addition to the two that walked out to go to Cambridge, maybe if Jamie fancies them as being good enough we will see one of them at Park View Road, Mark Arber is a beast and experienced, hes 36 though so could be a risk, someone said he lives near Clarkie. Dartford issued the following...

Press Release Mark Arber

After making Mark an offer for next season, sometimes as a manager, decisions have to made and unfortunately we have amicably decided to part company. Mark would like to stress the decision is not for financial reasons or travelling issues but more to do with the length of the contract that was offered. I would like to thank Mark for his efforts last year for Dartford Football Club and wish him all the very best for the future.

Thanks for your support
Tony Burman

Also seen Adam Birchall has been released by Gillingham.

If we kept Roscoe and signed Pugh/Birchall I'm not sure I would be able to contain myself

Also see David Wheeler is leaving/has left Staines. Don't know if he's gone anywhere yet but seems to be another top quality young player. Don't know if we need/have the budget for another midfielder but we will certainly need a bigger squad this year, and we could do a lot worse.

Birchall and Ross up top would be awesome, but I fear Birchall is out of our price range.
I'm sure Faz is working on getting Ross on-board again given it was effectively him that brought him to the club in the first place.

Are we assuming Jamie has offered Ross terms?, I know he hasnt been announced as released. Seems to be dragging on if its contract negotiations.

I wonder if Mr Pugh's situation has changed now they continue signing forwards.Very intruiging at the moment, I think its Ross or Pugh (or now Birchall) myself and a bit of wheeling and dealing going on.

Will be good when the final front man is in place, Ross deserves a crack but am sure if he decides not to come back that Daisy will snap up Pugh in a daring how did he do that raid on the Abbey.

Ross must have been offered terms surely. What they are God knows, but to not offer your top scorer a new deal would be a massive mistake.
With the Main money saved I think we might to push the boat out on wages for a top striker. We won't get the same possession and chances a level up, need to make sure when opportunities come they are taken.

It's all speculation but I wonder if Ross would be able to commit to morning training as well as a job (Kensington based?) in London.

Will the colleges/universities that Anthony Acheampong and Kiernan Hughes-Mason attend be happy for them to miss lectures or would there be a compromise whereby they attend some and miss some. Many courses are only three or four days a week.

I think Jamie is being patient, and making sure he gets the right people for the right money, would be easy to overspend trying to get a player then going short elsewhere in the squad which could come back and bite us.

Need to see If Luis Cumbers is fit, Mainys money has surely been spent on Loick returning.

I doubt if the budget would stretch to Roscoe and one of those other two but who knows what Jamie can persuade players to do.

As for Wheeler, do we need another potentially expensive midfielder?

What we don't know is are there any players that are going to be released from other clubs but that cannot be announced until 30th June when their contracts expired?
