Well, if they have both "taken the carrot" (ooh err missus) then we should at least be entitled to two fees as they should be aged under 24 otherwise they would not be on the tour. No true consolation for their talents, but compensation nonetheless.

I would have thought both players out of contract, Welling cant do anything.

But managers would still not trust Mr Fairclough to tap up players on tour. If one England C player signs for him, that will be the start of the end of his England management role.
I'm not worried at all about Welling players representing their country.
Incidentally, Mr Fairclough would never contemplate something which would compromise his position - he is an honourable man and beyond reproach as a representative of the FA. It is an honour for the players and our club that he has selected them. Obviously, the mere fact that they have been selected will draw them to the attention of other clubs seeking two excellent defenders.
