Can't see why I was being glib....it is a case of it NOT being the same anymore...some people WILL be disadvantaged by our promotion....Personally I want to be able to change ends too but I understand why that may not be possible...maybe we should take advice from experts on this as to how or where the police would 'like' the oppos to be and where they feel they could deal with matters should that arise....in fact I am amazed that we haven't had some kind of solution dictated to us by the 'authorities'
Personally i'd give them the park end, to get into the ground they have to walk through the entrance of danson park via crook log gates down a muddy path and scramble through bushes to get to a gate that only lets in 1 person at a time. For food and drink they have to go to danson stables which only ever has 1 person serving at a time and if they need the loo it must be done in the nearest stingy nettles.
I have been attending matches for nearly 40 years in many divisions of both English and Scottish leagues and I prefer to stand and watch games, as do many supporters, my favoured position at PVR is at the cricket side near the half way line. If the cricket side is the area chosen to be given to away supporters for segregation then I will have to find somewhere else to stand. It doesn't matter to me what the weather is I'll just wear the appropriate clothing.
I for one would prefer the club spent money on players than spend it on fencing that is not necessary. As for giving up the stand to noisy away supporters, the noisy supporters are the ones who stand at matches not those in the seats. (I have never heard singing come from the new stand). Why pay a pound or two for a seat when you're going to stand anyway.
If any trouble does kick off ( and I hope it never happens) I would rather have them kept in the ground until enough Police are available to A. make arrests and B. escort them from the ground. As for any damage done to the E&B Stand /bar area then any moneys for repair should be claimed from the Away team. Their fans cause the damage then they pay for it.

Dover supporters made a fair din in the new stand a couple of years ago. It's probably the best part of the ground for acoustics.

Is now the time to ban drums, flutes, triangles and all other instruments that are played to torture us.

Nope , sounded like a relentless out of time wallop .. much like their style of football

What about the 25 piece Thrash Metal band I planned on bringing along?
I sit in the new stand...one of the better views on non-league football. If we are going to get regular segregated fixtures then we need a cover on one of the ends behind the goal. There is a cost yes, but you cannot expect floating supporters to turn up and get soaked and it will be the floating supporters that will be needed regularly because we don't have enough regulars and we need some floaters to become regulars! Segregation often causes more problems than it solves. An access point will be needed eventually towards the park end of the ground.

How is it we plan to get access at the cricket ground then? I've heard several people mention it. It won't happen now ready for this season, or at any point in the next decade unless the ground is completely re-built. You can't have access from the park end as we a) don't own the park, and b) can't expect people to walk the mile round trip via Danson Park entrances, and c) what if its a mid-week winter game, the park would be closed anyway.
