As mentioned at the AGM, WUSA will again be looking to run coaches where we can this season. I will be heading this up so will be the point of contact for all things coach-related.
I will get costs for coaches before every game and then the interest will determine whether it runs or not. If there is enough interest and it's self sufficient cost wise then there's no reason why we cannot run one for every game with the exception of Dartford. I'm in the process of getting some quotes for Wrexham and will be reporting back in due course.
Final point, as the trips are quite long this year making the costs high, we will most likely need bookings paid for before the date of travel. It it works out £25 a head and if 4 or 5 people don't turn up on the day, it starts to turn into an expensive loss for WUSA.
Cheers
Deano

With the exec/vip coaches holding 40 or more (or double deckers) if we could say to a firm we will stick with you for the season if you do us a decent rate we can work with.. you may get more travel. Comfy seats, wifi , toilets, tables etc.
If they are going to let you have the coach for £800-1000 it still brings the prices in at £25 or less. If you were stuck on the normal coaches that we had to Eastbourne or Salisbury it would be a squeeze on some of these long trips and uncomfortable and people may pay extra for a train or go national express as newer coaches.
Maybe have a word with the club or Kingsferry, if the club are staying with them we may get a great deal for WUSA, if they aret staying with them we may get the clubs deal with Kingsferry.

Agreed. The Salisbury coach was ok, but I wouldn't want to go the length of the country in it. Something with wifi, TV and plug sockets for a laptop and/or phone charging etc and I think you'll get more take up. Otherwise the train prices if booked early might make coaches a non-starter more often than not.
I think we need to be realistic as to what can be afforded. I've spoken to a few firms today and some wanted £1,700 to £2,000 for a basic 49 seater coach. Managed to sort a deal out with 1 company as a trial which is much cheaper, its a 49 seater, with toilet, big tv at the front and reclining chairs. They have also offered 72 seater double deckers if needed. If people are expecting loads of leg room, wifi and tables your looking at £50-£60 a head and thats if we fill a coach!
