Another great quote I saw this week was about the bloke in Catford who was sitting on the loo and a fox came in and attacked him and his cat. He described the fox as being "like a wild animal".
Joel Barnet sounds a delightful person......in fact the whole family does
A Batley man jailed for crowd violence at a Huddersfield Town play-off final is at the centre of the issue which has controversially relegated a non-league football club.
Isthmian League Premier Division side Thurrock will drop to the North section after the FA rejected their appeal against a three-point deduction for fielding Joel Barnett, who was ineligible having played for a Sunday side in Wakefield which folded with unpaid fines.
Barnett, a former S****horpe United junior player, was jailed in October 2011 along with his father Paul and his brothers Jotham and Jordan after all four admitted affray during the League I play-off final against Peterborough at Manchester Uniteds Old Trafford stadium the previous May.
The quartet were subsequently banned for life by Huddersfield Town from watching games at the John Smiths Stadium.
No sympathy with Thurrock. If you want to sign convicted criminals then you can't claim the morale high ground.
I agree but I always feel sorry for the supporters in these situations (although there aren't too many at Thurrock!!). They pay their money to support the club and are then let down by the people running the club. I still think it could be us one day - we did get thrown out of the Kent cup for an "admin" error.
