He will be grately missed to all at the club. I too have a couple of memories of Adam
1. Just coming out of Chelmsford station, as me an the SonOfTheoplePoet passed the pub from beneath the bridge, he jumps out of the bar singing "O when the Wings!" This was the key to my impression of him and the same impression still stands. He wasn't a shy man, he was a kind and colourful man. He wasn't afraid to say what was on his mind, he would always make us smile.
2. Friday night when he brought me a drink and the burger van, first time he did it and was very talkative about things too. He told me what he did for a living and told my about his girlfriend. He was treating me as if I've known him most of his life, and I've only known him for 3-4 years.
Thanks for the memories Adam, we will never forget you. You will always be in our minds. Rest in Peace Adam Thomas Shulver

If and when people feel ready to, I thought it might be nice for everyone to share some of their fond memories of this very kind, colourful character. Hopefully they can provide some comfort to Adam's family and loved ones at this difficult time.

I was only fortunate enough to have known Adam for a couple of years (I'm sure others who have known him for much longer have many interesting tales), but the two moments that make me laugh even on this most difficult of days are:

1. Away to Boreham Wood, when the title was clinched. Jumping up and down with Adam, arm in arm, singing an impromptu song about plate smashing to an embarrassed looking Giannoulis Fakinos. He was a lyrical genius.

2. Asking him who he had voted for in Player of the Month. The reply? "Anthony Acheampong".

When I then asked if he always voted for him, he gave me a look that said "What a ridiculous question!" and replied "Yes, of course. This month, next month, and every month till the end of time".

I think it speaks volumes about him that so many today have said he was one of the first people they spoke to on the terraces. Sure enough, thinking back to myself I never made the effort to introduce myself to him - he took that upon himself, such was his personality. An extremely friendly, funny and lovable member of the Wings Family.

Rest In Peace mate.

Ashford Wing, thank you for starting this thread. I think we all have wonderful memories of Adam, and as I will be writing his eulogy and giving his funeral service, all funny stories and memories are a great help to me.

I personally have too many memories to put here, but a few would be:

1. Video-bombing Jamie Day's interview following the Truro game last season, by riding an inflatable giraffe along the path behind him

2. Inventing the most entertaining chants

3. Serenading me on the terraces at Farnborough several seasons ago with his full-length rendition of 'Just the Way You Are' by Bruno Mars - ever since that day I've never been able to hear that song without thinking of him. It floored me this morning when it came on the radio

4. Being the ONLY fan to ever take hair straighteners on away trips - even us girls didn't take them!

5. Being the most memorable of the Welling Massive - he made a huge impression on people, so much so that they would remember him always even if they'd only spent a few moments in his company

I know that I always looked forward to seeing him. Being in his company always brightened my day and he had the ability to light up any room (or terrace!). I miss him so much already xx

Wish I was not writing on here after such a loss to all those involved with welling, thought I would share this photo as it summed up the Adam I knew.

This photo was December 2010 bishops storford away we were not having the best game and this was his thoughts, I always ripped him for his quirky clothes and hair I mean look in this photo he looks like a boyband member! He always made an effort to say hello at home or away games and after reading tributes all over Facebook it's clear he was loved by many, I loved supporting welling and the friends I made there and i am sure dean Kevin and lee have been reading these messages and it shows what a tight knit and loving football club welling united is.

Adam you will be missed. X

I only really met and talked to Adam at the Danson festival this year although I had seen him around PVR many times. Those few minutes in his company will stay with me for a long time. From reading posts on here and on Facebook I can see that he was a colourful character, rest in peace Adam. I only wish I had got to know you better

Like Davy I only really only spoke to Adam at Danson this year even though we had nodded at both home and away games. I will remember the smile on his face outside PVR on Danson Sunday when I was walking one way and he was walking in the opposite direction. He had left our stands 10 minutes after me, paid someone their speed ball winnings and had managed to get to PVR before me.
