iPhones and iPads are not computers, they cant handle flash for a start and thats a problem with the device not any website. 

 

You can try other browsers on them which try and convert flash into something the iPad or iPhone can handle but thats like putting skis on a ford fiesta and using it instead of a cable car. Browsers that people say do a good job with flash include Puffin and Skyfire. My usual is advice to iPad users is throw it in the bin and get an Android tablet or phone if you dont want to buy a ten or 12 inch laptop that will run any website or use PC or laptop.

 

As i havent got an iPad or iPhone (and never will get one) its only been tested on a HTC phone , Laptops and PC and works on all of those. People who are tech savvy will be able to find work arounds for apple's devices failure to be able to run flash without jumping through hoops but that will involve google and testing browsers at the user end.

 

Having said all that, we do intend installing system that claims to work on iPads (at furthercost to us), however the guy that designed/installed the site has been notified on more than one occasion that some plugin hes installed is freezing the server , so until he sorts it theres no point in spending money on somethingand time installing a new plugin  that is just going to freeze up and not work. When he sorts it there will be an update and a new system. He does appear to be going awol a lot lately though.

 

Its a website wide  problem, not video problem but its causing freezes on all pages including video but there is a work around for WingsTV members as they can see when on the video page.

That would be incorrect as i have previously stated, it doesnt work on YOUR iPad unless you want to try and use some work arounds. 

 

As i stated before the Apple products cant handle flash without the user performing a few circus tricks. If people want to try other browsers as millions of apple users have to, then that is down to them and they can research via google.

Its not as if WingsTV is the problem here, its people being brainwashed into buying apple products that suck. Every device i try to use works fine (Laptop, PC, HTC Sensation, Android Tablet (With dolphin browser and flash player installed). If i owned an iPad i could probably find a solution to get it working on my iPad,

 

When people buy iPads they assume it can or should run any website or app and will save them using a laptop or a pc. Brainwashed nicely by Apple.

 

As ive said all i can do is suggest people try browsers that can work on flash if they want to try and get a device that wasnt made for viewing flash to work

 

To say it doesnt work is wrong, people can get flash to work on an iPad but they have to do some homework and testing.

 

Websites are created in the main for laptops and pcs, some sites create iPad apps and users must choose what devices they want to buy based on their capabilities.

Adobe stopped supporting Flash for Android devices in August 2012. This means Amazon cannot provide Flash for the 2nd Generation Fire and the Fire HD models. (All Kindle Fires are Android devices)

 

There is a work around though. To view Flash videos, you will need to install an earlier version of the Dolphin Browser and install an earlier version of Flash.

 

Note: To watch Flash videos, you'll need to watch them via the Dolphin Browser after everything is installed properly, and NOT via the Web section (Silk Browser) on your Fire.

 

Installing Adobe Flash Player On Newer Kindle Fires

(2nd Gen Fire. and HD Models)

 

If you have a newer Kindle Fire model, Flash has to be installed manually, along with a Flash compatible web browser.

 

Instructions:

 

To install Flash: (You have to have a Flash compatible browser in order to install Flash. You can't install it under Silk.)

 

Do the following on the Fire/Fire HD itself:

 

Swipe down from the top > More > Device > Allow Installation of Applications.

 

Install ES File Explorer: ES File Explorer

No Malcolm but its on Wrexham's short taster highlights they put up. As soon as their guy went down for treatment in stoppage time we were on our toes.

 

I would have happily accepted the answer "get a different phone..." As I thought it was probably iOS playing up.

I appreciate the iPhone isn't perfect and was concerned about taking out the WingsTV subscription in case it wasn't compatible with Apple products.

It might be worth highlighting on the WingsTV subscription page that at present WingsTV isn't accessible via iOS devices.
