So.....I am driving home and think lets see what Radio kent have to say.....well the answer is ...they never even mentioned our result

 

it went..

 

Gillingham...well yes they are the top kent Side

Dartford...well ok they have been in the conference one year more

 

and errrrr..then Ebslfleet...then Dover...then Margate

 

So i think that this is a mistake so I listened a little longet and they give the results of ALL the Kent sides....but yet again we are not even mentioned

They must be mentioning us on BBC Radio London then. Oh wait..........

I heard the score once & a very begrudging well done to Welling on our first conference win, even Bromley got more of a mention, BBC London have now elbowed Barnet, they will not cover non league, we really should ban BBC Kent when we play Dartford

The last time I listened to Radio Kent a lot of people on these forums weren't even born yet. Couldn't care less about that radio station.

 I had 2 or 3 looks through it before I saw mention of Welling. It wasn't a very well put together set of mini match reports.

People on this site know about Welling and attend games. Its all the people out there in Kent that don't attend, that do listen to Radio Kent, that could be enticed. But they won't be, because we don't get the coverage we should.

I don't have research to back this up, but I would guess that most people who listen to Radio Kent are more likely to be living in deepest, darkest Kent, and probably do not know where Welling is or even have heard of it. 

I don't know of anyone in our catchment area that listens to Radio Kent. For me, it's pretty pointless courting Radio Kent's interest or co-operation as the benefits to us would be minimal. 

I may be wrong of course!
