Absolutely,. knock down the bar and build a new one with council money or get the council to spend £7 million on a ground for you, give you the ground with two new bars. Problem solved.
Works for other clubs.
It does indeed! However, getting the council, WFC and EBFC to sit down together and agree the best way for everyone of managing the current situation would be a start.

Why would EBFC care about us??
If it were in everyone's best interests for them so to do!

How would that be in Eastbourne Borough's interest? Anyway they should be LSFC!
All well and good Mark, but do not E & B hold darts nights, weddings etc? Could we not do the same? Any form of money generation must be good for the club. Alledgedly, we owe money to everyone in the surrounding district, including E & B. So why the heck would anyone want to invest / help WUFC? As for the Council, if we owe them money too, why would they want to help us?

Exactly, last time i checked they were doing alright without the money we already owe them..Harsh but true. if they don't want to help us, they don't have to! And would they allow us to pick and chose i.e we'll use them when we need to, i mean what would of been the point against grimsby when their supposed 400 didn't turn up.
I think the club are considering the flyers in the local area of all houses. Of course costs for printing and getting volunteers or people paid to deliver them in an organised way has to be looked into.
Personally i think its better if our flyers go in to letterboxes on their own for the most part as some people see leaflets and throw them, at least if there is one leaflet they will at least see what its about rather than pick up leaflets and throw them all in the bin.
I would go for Come and watch a Welling United game in the Skrill premier for FREE ... (then the offer is they come to Welling for a fiver with the voucher on the flyer (which requires their name address mobile and email) and get a voucher when they come in for free entry for the next game. Much like the bookies offer FREE offers to hook people and the bookies offer FREE spins on their betting machines to hook people. Or you can just do a one off free entry for a named game say Braintree at Home.
If they get a flyer and think bloody hell thats a good offer then youve a chance of hooking people. You wont hook them with come and see Welling play for £15 we are your local club.
This is a long term strategy not make an extra 5 grand for one game. Its about seeing a regular upturn in crowds and the best way of doing that (as well as getting us known in the community) is make it free or for pennies to come and sample the Wings. IF they enjoy it they will come back and pay when they know whats on their doorstep, its not going to cost a lot to find out.

Can I just say about flyers that to distribute 10000 leaflets is a huge commitment, so it depends how often you are planning to do them.
I do leaflet distribution for my business, but getting them out myself is a problem with all the other aspects of running a business. and I suspect that many people would struggle to find time to do many.
If we had a team of 15-20 people to do 500-1000 each it would work and if we go down that route I will make a point of leafleting my business in Welling / Bexleyheath/ Sdicup / Bexley so that I can put out flyers with my own ones, but it would need other people who have the time and inclination to do some leaflets.
I can't leafelt the same area all the time, but if we have reliable people to deliver Welling leaflets I could put mine out with them every 3 months and pay some money to the volunteers / club to do so.

a good idea and the fact is if they are coming for the first time on the back of the leaflet for free they wouldn't have turned up anyway so we lose no money and then they will buy food/booze etc and might come back so there's nothing to lose
Thing is you would have to make it free for everyone, it's a bit unfair if regular supporters get a leaflet in the door and they use it and another regular supporter does not get a leaflet and cannot get in for free you would be in danger of upsetting some supporters
Wings 63 clearly worried Welling might attract new fans. I would hope if you labelled it as residents day or some such that regulars may see the club trying to improve things and buy into it.
Or you could make it a fiver for everyone. and give the residents a free voucher for a game such as Braintree at home if they come to the game off a flyer,This is all about getting the numbers up and telling the locals we exist and what we can offer.
It will be yesterdays chip wrapper to the regulars after the event but every household will have had the chance to come to PVR for a fiver and at the very least they will know where we are and what we offer. I cant see them moaning too much as everyone wants the crowds up, its a small price to pay.

More money through the turnstiles - more money for Jamie and for ground improvement and all the regulars will be happy. Better football and facilities - crowds go up more. Have to start somewhere tori2000.
I understand what your saying but putting leaflets through random doors you are likely to get supporters who already come week in week out use the leaflet and get in for free to a certain game which they would have come to anyway so maybe you would lose money from that supporter, then his mate who lives further a field comes week in week out cannot use the leaflet could be upset that he has to pay full price to get into the game and might just might think to himslef well i will not bother to go then you would lose his money as well,
Why not introduce "group savers" for particular games - which would apply to all fans, regulars and newbies, with vouchers for discounts off season tickets for existing holders the following season? Or coupons/leaflets in the match programmes which, when a number are collected, entitle you to a discount and/ or to bring in a friend for free?

That's the theory anyway.
Your theory is good and the more the better. One thing to consider, the local incumbents don't give a rodents rectum. 50th anniversary, don't make me laugh. They couldn't give a monkeys and did they say thanks to the supporters that bailed them out? They still crap on us all, even with one WUSA member on the board. Why didn't the club accept the offer from the consortium that eventualy took over Ebbsfleet? You all know the reasons why.
You could have all the leaflets in the world. If people come and the matchday experience is poor are they likely to come back?
Too much negativity and no room for egos or any in-fighting if the club are to get established back at this level and grow the support base to the required 1K + average.
Will there have to be an accident before the netting behind the goal is repaired? It would seem that discussions are not even being had over the dreaded health and safety issues!
