The irony is they brought on a very tall centre back, Joe McNerney, and played him up front for the majority of the second half.

I can see why they will feel aggrieved as the referee did make some very questionable decisions that did go against them, nevertheless none of these occurred prior to us being 3-0 up which is when the damage was done and the game was lost for them.

I feel when we found ourselves three up after half an hour we panicked a bit and stopped doing the right things that had torn them apart early on. I think at this point Woking felt they had nothing to lose went for it, whilst we shat ourselves at the prospect of throwing away a three goal lead and invited them on to us a bit too much, rather than having the belief we could go on and put them to the sword.

Hill's interview is priceless ... and he sounds like he is half-cut as well, more mishaps than Joe Kinnear ...

When it was 3-0 it could have been 4 or 5 their keeper made some good saves. We were cruising for 35 mins looked different class to them. Then Woking hoofed it and threw everything at us.

Interviews with Jamie Day and Man of the Match Lee Butcher up late tonight. Highlights up tomorrow on WingsTV. Including two superb celebrations from Beauts and Loick.

Loick, revenge is a dish best served cold... enjoy your feast tonight.

From the sour grapes forum:

"I bet if you look at the possession stats youll see we were all over them"

BBC Report: Possession 50-50.

Was also 60-40 in our favour at 3-0. Looks like we dominated until we had done enough. Hard luck chaps. Take whatever crumbs of comfort you like, and we'll take the 3 points.

Great result today and Woking fans come across as being really bitter. We played better football than their hoof ball and fully deserve to be where we are in the table. I look forward to us getting another three points against Salisbury :D

I know it's far too early to talk about getting promoted, but just say we won the play offs, is our ground good enough for League 2? I kind of suspect it isn't.

Are Welling allowed to win games??

There's clearly a rule that 'Little Welling' aren't allowed to beat these sides......

It's like no-one took any notice of that Welling won the league last year, playing good football.

Hopefully Salisbury underestimate us on Monday too. Although we were craptacular in the two games against them last year!

We did indeed, but still didn't play particularly well

From the small club in Surrey forum we only took 30-50 for the hours drive. Don't know about the rest who drove but it took me 3 hours thanks to the M25 car park, and I would have said around 75-100 of us spread around the ground.

At least 150 ish imo, Not bad when Woking tend to hoof it at us and our record is so good at Woking, some fans will save their money for games where the result is not a forgone conclusion. The weather would have put some off.

I think people should realise that the sort of reaction given in this thread is precisely what the Woking fans that make these comments thrive on and take pleasure in seeing.

They say Parkys red was harsh, first tackle was dangerous and late, ok hardly any contact if any but thats a yellow, Second one hes done Ross in the head from behind with his arm/elbow, didnt look any malice in it but its a yellow.

Parky wasnt very happy with Joe Healy talking to the ref but the red had been shown before that. If he was still at PVR we would be saying it was a harsh red no doubt but both challenges looked bookings and sloppy.

imo.

For what it's worth, I thought even though he didn't score today, Lafayette was ****ing immense. He set up so much of our forward play, including Beautyman's goal. Man of the match for me.

Rosco a man mountain and Hill's interview sounds like the rambling of a down and out, agree was a priceless interview out fought and thought by Jamie.

I'd expect Woking to be bitter. They're still coming to terms with the fact that their best players last season - Billy Knott, Jayden Stockley etc were loan signings from big clubs.

Now that they're having to rely on the ability of their manager and remaining squad, they find themselves back where they belong - below Welling.

He's getting double what he was I would have thought, that makes coming back impossible.

I think the problem was that other similar tackles by both teams didn't get bookings.
