Keith was signed by Chesterfield just in time for the 2001/02 season, and is a player with plenty of experience and is rated very highly by his former employers. The left-sided player is able to play in either defence or midfield, but prefers a more attacking role on the left wing. After falling out of favour at QPR he was loaned out to Luton Town, and after a spell there he was eventually released by QPR and a successful trial at Chesterfield led to a two-year contract. A former Northern Ireland international, an injury set back at the start of the 2001/02 season put Rowlands out for a season, and he eventually joined Barnet in March 2003 before switching to Hornchurch in July '03. In the summer of 2004 he left to play for Dublin City in the eircom League before returning to England and joining Redbridge in January 2005. Joined Welling United in January 2006.
Hmmmmmmmm well hes 34 and was at coventry, West Ham and Bournemouth (With Pennock??)
BUT..... He plays left back and left midfield. Surely we are covered there UNLESS Clarkey will be out for a long time. On paper a good signing. Possibly could have done with a Center Midfielder or Utility defender ahead of a left back where Soloman has been outstanding.

Is this a signing to primarily cover for Steve Perkins?
Haven't seen local 'rags' this week but if he has sustained a ligament injury, as was suggested in the Blyth match report on the official site, he is likely to be on the sidelines for quite a while.

Bruno... At Welling they are out for 2 months with a knock. Im pretty sure that unfortunately Perks will be out for most of the rest of the season. Hope Ashby is fit and Pins is nearly back. We are looking very light on bodys. the good thing is Rowland wont be too dear having signed from Redbridge. Certainly no more than Matty Lee. So i would imagine, given the Trophy and Cup winnings Ade can bring another body in at least. A hard bastard Rutherford type in midfield.
