We nearly had no Highlights or DVD, as the game was showing as not recorded. Luckily you are looking at genius and i have recovered it off of a corrupted memory card.
However as i need to convert the whole game and upload for Salisbury, the ref and assessor tonight so they can watch tomorrow... and also make dvds and send them off, plus sort a clip for Salisbury tonight to appeal the red card decision, WingsTV highlights of the game will be delayed.
They will follow in 2 or 3 days with Full Interviews with Jamie Day and Man of the Match Kurtis Guthrie and the Jamie Day freeview will be well worth a watch.... The gaffer has a message everyone should watch.
Nope, its a good watch and the gaffer talks a lot of sense. Will try and make that the first video online, will probably be Wednesday if all goes to plan for the freeview.
I am glad that I didn't subscribe to Wings TV (due to cost) as I would feel extremely effed off that Salisbury, the ref and the assessor are all getting to see footage tonight/tomorrow and fans who have paid £40+ have to wait 2-3 days.
Most clubs send each other incident videos as they would like the same service if they need to. I think thats 3 straight years weve sorted a clip for Salisbury on the night of the game so they can appeal to the FA within 2 days. Ive always sent it same night as i would like to think if we needed it they would remember it and reciprocate.
Giving the oppo and ref and assessor Match DVDs is a league rule this season, which is why they are getting sorted tonight and tomorrow, Normally they would get a DVD after the game, but as the memory card couldnt be read weve had to come home, recover the video from the corrupt card, convert it and upload the whole game for the officials and Salisbury and will be making DVDs to send off tomorrow to satisfy the league rule. Along with sorting their clip for the appeal theres a ton of work to do which usually wouldnt have to be done. Which is why there will be a short delay for highlights.
Now that the DVD is uploading i will get Jamies Freeview up in the next 90 mins and try to get his full interview up for members. The Highlights will probably be Wednesday.
Hopefully people can understand,We have so far done every game on WingsTV which is more than most clubs in this league that have subsciptions do, plus a live commentary with more to come over the next few games.
Finishing roughly halfway this season will be a marvellous, realistic and huge achievement.
Longer term, I think if we are still playing Conference National football in 5 or so years time, then this will equally be a marvellous, realistic and huge achievement. A few FA Cup shocks along the way here, maybe one trip to Wembley for a Trophy final there. Anything needed to build support, finance, history and tradition.
Any talk of League 2 football now (by a team that has just reached the pinnacle of non-league) is just plain folly.
I followed the old Wimbledon FC during the Eighties and, while going up through leagues was great fun, it had an all too inevitable outcome.

I think that is the right way to go and as has been said we would expect the same back (whether we get it who knows but that would be out of our hands)
Daisy saying people are getting carried away...I suggest it was said in HUGE jest........
I am just happy (as most are) to be playing in this league and if we are still there for 2014/15 then I will personally be VERY pleased
Yes the main aim this year has to be to stay in the league and anything after that is a bonus. We have shown in the first few games we can hold our own but in January when postponed games build up, injuries and suspensions kick in, plus maybe the odd bit of bad form occur we won't have the strength in depth that some clubs do.
I think we will end up finishing 15th/16th which considering our budget and it being our first season in the league would be a tremendous achievement.

Thanks for clarifying jgfc, totally agree with your stance on providing quickly for the other club, interesting that every club has to provide copies for the officials.
Yep they have to film as they have to provide copies of the match after the game to Ref, Assessor and Oppo team as its a league rule.
I have spoke to other clubs in the last couple of days and they have had their camera break at games or equipment fail but thats sods law the good thing is some clubs film home and away so hopefully if one camera fails there is still a copy of the game.
Woking couldnt get their camera working till right near kick off, it was only a switch but we had a spare one they could have used, if their camera didnt come on and the oppo never filmed then there would be no video, so no appeals etc if a red was given. Not sure if the League would fine a club for not filming but as its a league rule its possible although harsh.

Am I right in saying some of the ex league clubs are tied up with a deal from their league days? If this is the case and the camera failed would hope they could claim from the operator.
