Gateshead will no doubt be considered the second worst team to have visited Woking this season wink

I am not absolutely sure they are fit

I think Jo Oboe and Turner are the only fit ones

KHM must be close to being fit, but I'm not so sure about Day.

Why drag KHM to Hereford if he has zero chance of playing?

Ouani, Corne etc on dual registration...

Assuming there's not some freak comeback, this'll be the first time Hereford have ever beaten us. In our previous six encounters we've won four and drawn two. Shame, as it sounds like we've more than held our own today.

These tough away matches we'll face this season will make it hard for us to pick up many points, which makes it all the more important to maintain our home form. Onwards to next week - COYW!

Another goal by Ross, 2-1. I hope he's happy and tied to the club on a sensible wage .. four goals now already? Doesn't take penalties, and for a part-time team in a new league who are hoping for fifth bottom. I can see interest in him in the near future.

Pretty flat game to be honest. First half we more than matched them but other than the goal didn't have any real chances. Still cant see why we have a squad of 21/22 players and only got 4 subs on the bench, of which only JoBo and KHM were the only 2 warming up. We had players tired in the 2nd half and an Ouani, Hudson or Corne would have helped us.

Not having a go at the team as they didn't do a lot wrong, Butcher will know he could have done better with the 1st goal but keepers at all levels will make mistakes. Blaine Hudson and Jake Gallagher were the 2 stand outs today, solid and worked hard.

Over and done with, onto the next game. In Jamie we trust.

Well Barney is exactly who should have been there today.......I sound as though I am not happy but my fear is...what happens if we have 3 injuries in a game we would have JT playing in midfield......

You're spot on Mark. It is probably quite normal, but it seems strange that we had players such as Barney, Sam Corne, Ouani and Callum Webb all play for us during pre season and probably be some of our better performers for them to go elsewhere and us not see them again!!

Have we offloaded four or five since Monday? As stated then, there were 26 players listed in the programme.

this season we have set up a reserves side with the final aim to push players through to make the 1st team, surely if we have 4 on the bench and some being injured/not match fit then have a couple of the reserves on the bench, even if its to make up numbers or even a possible sub as an option

Webb injured i think i heard Jamie say in his interview.

Highlights and interviews up tomorrow The travelling press and officials waiting for Jamie after the game made man our of the match between Gallagher and Dyer and i think Alex just shaded the vote by a single vote over Jake.

4 subs is concerning.

JoeBo isn't going to change the game if you need a goal. Daisy won't play unless he absolutely has to, and KHM isn't fit. Would have been nice to see an Ouani, Webb, Corne etc if possible just to have the option. Hopefully it won't be needed

I believe Callum Webb is injured.

Spot on Polo.

WingsTillIDie, it's not a case of "only needing 3 outfield subs" when one is a young full-back who won't change the game, one has little intention of playing, and the other isn't fit.

The progress of Ouani/Hudson isn't going to stagnate by calling them back from dual registration for a couple of weeks. Having the option of a fresh attacking player, even if it's an inexperienced one who isn't quite ready for this level, is surely still better than having no option at all.

Calm dooooooooooooooooooooooon about kids bench warming LOL. I think Supporters going to games and making noise would be more advantageous to us than taking a 17 year old to sit on a bench... I think we took about 60 to Hereford, thats pathetic on a Saturday and Thurrock-esque (Those that went were good as always). I know Dartford have failed to run a coach and Woking too and some people are struggling but Groupsave made the trip pretty cheap.

Groupsave was £23,WUSA offered to run a coach . Lead from the front. shouting the team on would be much more use than having a youngster sit on a bench for 90 minutes.

Harry was there on Saturday, Kurtis was there and failed a fitness test. Its not as if we went there with no players for the bench.

The only part i agree with, is name 5 subs even if they arent fit. Dont show any weakness to the oppo,

Webb needs a scan, Harry wasnt quite ready, Kurtis failed a fitness test before Hereford all said by Jamie after Hereford.

No sign of Guthrie in the matchday squad??

That must be the third or fourth game without a full (or half fit) bench now....??

I don't care about VCD or Walton Casuals or whoever - surely we should have 5 to PICK FROM on the bench....

Tom, stop having such thinly veiled digs at me on a public forum re: my attendance or whatever I post. You couldn't handle it in private the other day and are obviously still stewing over it. I'll assume I can have my say on here seeing as you've posted malicious rubbish ever since.

Not every fan can devote every minute of their lives to the club. Well done to those who do and go about it in a quiet manner with little fuss, I have genuine respect for your continued hard work and commitment that is key to the progress of the club. Not such a big "well done" to those who do likewise, but then try and make others feel inferior for not being able to make the same commitments. When this happens, you begin to question whether their hard work is motivated by the best interests of the club, or by the opportunity to inflate their own sense of self-importance by belittling others.

I notice you don't direct such criticisms at other supporters who have genuine, unavoidable reasons why they can't make it to every game. Is it because you're bitter that I'm not giving you 40 quid for WingsTV?

Just to nullify your point re: the minor debate you put in to your post as an excuse to have a dig, having noisy support or a full bench is hardly an either/or scenario. You can have both/neither. One, however, is controlled by Daisy. Whilst he does a truly remarkable job on a limited budget, if the general consensus is that he's made an error (not having a 5th sub when there are youngsters on dual registration) then we're entitled to discuss it and question why. If there's a viable answer, fair enough. In contrast, we're not going to come on the forum and say "Where were you, you and you on Saturday? Not coming to support the team. Useless".

For my part, I would say that I start far more chants than the average fan at the games I do attend. I apologise if my absence causes you a personal gut-wrenching agony. I'm sure I'll feel the same when you choose to take another 5 year stint away without attending a game - not that I have a problem with that, it's really none of my concern. But since you're going to have childish digs at me I may as well return the favour.

I look forward to your response which will no doubt be along the lines of "LOL! PMSL, You're a moron, always slagging off the players. I'm not even going to read that" followed by a crude avatar change, as per your recent posts. This will be followed by deletion a few hours later when you engage your brain and realise how it makes people perceive you. Or you could do the sensible thing and take up whatever issue you have with me privately, as both Polo and myself have requested.

People seem to forget we're still a part-time team with one of, if not the smallest budget in the league. Alot of the team have full-time work as well as family commitments, so may not be able to commit to travel to some of the away games, miss out on a days pay and end up sat on the bench for ninety minutes. All we need is a GK sub, and 3 outfield subs anyway.

Although many of the youngsters are very promising, we can't promise them 1st team appearances every week. So it's either they go out on loan, get first team experience, develop, and hopefully have the loan club subsidise wages OR have them stay here, not get games, gather cobwebs and possibly eat into our very limited wage bill as well, which I'm sure neither club nor player want.

There's quite a few players with knocks and niggles around at the moment but should be coming back soon.

Jamie's performed miracles with the on and off field resources so far. I'm sure he know's what he's doing, and will continue to perform miracles.

Wingstillidie. Some of the youngsters are on dual registartion meaning they don't have to be re-called to play. The day before we just ring up and tell them you are playing for Welling today. We have a squad of 26 players so to only have 15 players on the pitch/subs bench is surprising. Getting one of the missing 11 to sit on the bench to give us an extra option is a must.

It's also a pyscological thing for the opposition. They might think "Welling have only named four subs" they must have a weak team/squad and gain confidence from this.
