Sounds like they have a few injuries. 2 first team defenders out of the game, hopefully we can take advantage of this.

Any news? Nothing on 94.9 - not even a mention of the game at all, despite them discussing several other Skrill Premier teams and games.....

Jeff Stelling just announced Loui's goal on Sky Sports, and said that with players with names like Lafayette and Beautyman, we sound like a "posh team"!!

Lets hope us posh types can get another goal!

sounds like they may give us a few seconds... like "Welling trailing at home" in the middle of a sentence about the Bradford/Brentford game...

Ref has been abominable but we've been even worse. Dyer off the pace and probably the worst performance I've seen from Healy. The decision to make butcher number 1 is looking odd to say the least. Roscoe been our best player by a mile

I was a little confused by the BBC site -

"04 Jalladeher Booked"

Now I see that it was Jake Gallagher - close, but no cigar!

Perhaps one of the worst performances I've seen from welling. The boys haven't started. The fans are quite. Come on you wings..!!! We need a big half now to get anything,

HT 2-0 DOWN. Time for a mourinho like triple sub? My man at the ground says everyone is playing awful except Roscoe and Pires.

Yes that would be fair enough, but I want to see changes early on in this half and for us to have a real go at them!

I agree Chris, we do need to get out after them and pressure them hard and early. I'm sure Loui would love to get out there and run at them.

From live updates; '71:41  Corner taken by Malik Ouani from the right by-line. Clearance by Mickey Demetriou.'

No disrespect to Ouani but this is really why we need the gaffer out there playing . We need his good delivery from set pieces. Ouani has only just come on and has hardly played for us and yet is taking the corners!

If only we could replay the first half again...!! Well done boys for giving it ago in the end but the battle was lost in the first 45mins. Good subs at the right time... Onwards and upwards.

Poor first half today. Flat, didn't seem up for it. Disagree with the comment about Dyer, he was our best player and was rightly named MOTM. Healy did have a poor game though. We were by no means outplayed, we had chances, just they were more clinical with theirs. Really missing Beautyman in midfield, struggled without him lately. Onwards and upwards.

I think today was another reminder of just how two-tier this league is. Our team of dedicated part-timers playing for a club with what is likely the smallest budget in the league, against a full-time team peppered with league experience. In pre-season we were all saying how we would be delighted 5th from bottom at the end of the season, yet out expectations seem to have got carried away recently.

We didn't play that bad. First half, I suppose you could say we played Kamikaze football. We kept pushing forward too far, and exposing ourselves at the back. Kidderminster were then just too good on the counter-attack.
Second half we were far more disciplined, and after the subs (Well done Jamie.) Kiddy were running scared. There constant time-wasting proved this. Like others have said, if we could play that first half again we'd be in the top half of the table this evening.

We're still adapting to this league, and lessons learnt from today will allow us to adapt quicker.

Let's take the positives from the second half, and keep the faith.

There will be days like this when overall we were simply outplayed by a better team. They were organised, experienced and well drilled as you would expect from a team at this level that will be up there at the end of the season. Don't set expectations too high, live with it, learn and move on

Malik was fine today and wanted the ball, Not sure an un match fit (at the moment) gaffer playing on the left would have done better than Malik today.  We simply didnt start well today but after the first 25 mins we were more than a match for Kidderminster but they took their chances and we didnt.

Cant believe the ref never gave us a penalty but havent seen the video yet.

We need to learn from days like today but be mindful that when we put it in we should fear no one as we have proved we can compete with every team we have played.

Lets go to Southport who seem out of form, be confident and come home with the three points.

Survival in this league would mean an excellent season!

The team badly miss JD who has a football brain and can pass a ball.

Thought we were out thought and out fought in the first half. Their 8 was excellent, dropping off in front of their back four and always gave them an out ball if they couldn't go forward and was good in possession.
We looked much better once we put on Faza and Kurtis and credit to him for getting at their left back. Biggest positive was Dyer who was excellent and positive. No complaints about the result, we can play better but we are 15th and if we can stay around there it would be an achievement and no mistake.

I thought Faz made a huge difference when he came on. His energy provided a link between midfield and Roscoe that had been lacking up till then. It's no good Ross working to win the first ball only for his supporting options to be out in wide positions providing little goal threat. He needs someone in close to lay it off to and for the first hour that option just didn't exist.

It's worth noting that the best player on the pitch today - their number 8 Lee Fowler, was subbed off with about 25 mins to go. I suspect this, as well as the subs, tipped the momentum in our favour because he had been running the show till then. We played quite well for the last 30 minutes but I still don't think we were near our best, we just looked much better in comparison to the first hour! It's a shame we didn't test their keeper more often because he looked extremely dodgy.

The unbeaten home record is gone but maybe that's not such a bad thing. The perfect time to start a small unbeaten away record methinks smile

Agreed, their number 8 controlled the game, with excellent runs and crosses from their right full back. A pleasure to watch.
I suspect they were disappointed by their 2nd half performance by not finishing us off.

Saw enough today to show we can play and survive at this level but there are 10 top teams, a few in the middle and 10 bottom half teams. We are the latter but with a growing confidence to try and be the top of this bunch.

Dyer was good for me and Faz gave us hope. Rosco had the hardest job on the pitch and did well.

Well done JD and all.

Lee Fowler used to play for us - shame we could not keep him! I think we began to improve the moment we introduced a bit of pace in the shape of Faz, Kurtis and Mark O. Although I moaned and carped along with the best of them, I think we just have to admit that they did a job on us in the first half - superb passing and running.  Their first goal, however, should never have stood because of not just one but two fouls before it went in.  Other than that, and a strong claim for a penalty, no complaints. I have a sneaky feeling though that we will beat them at Aggborough - I may even put a bet on it now.
