Might have been dubious but if you go to ground or fly in like that then you risk giving a penalty away. Cant really see on the video and Ross is in the way but it looks like he got the ball.

The red card has been rescinded. I assume that is on evidence that has come from your video so the penalty was probably as dubious as theirs.

I think theyve done well to get off that, Video is inconclusive to me, maybe the ref saw the video and decided to advise it was rescinded?

Weve had appeals i thought we would get overturned and they werent..

Did look harsh at the time. Still does. Fully worth it being rescinded. But...realistically....he shouldnt be giving the referee that opportunity by going down, as last man, in the area. Once the penalty was given, it had to be a red

Having played the video loads of times, especially from 0.06 to 0.07, it appears that is was a definite penalty. The defender was late, Ross had moved the ball and had his right foot taken away. Good decision by the ref - on that occasion.

the penalty was given for the tackle on Lee Clarke not Ross Lafayette, didn't think from where I was standing that it was a foul never mind a red card offence and quite a few Welling fans standing near me at the Erith side of the park thought the ref made a massive mistake. Man in Green coats picture attatched also inconclusive

Perhaps he had time to reflect on giving FGR a penalty and decided to even things up.

I know it was for us but how is that a penalty!!! You can see from where the ball is after the tackle on clarke that it was a great challenge, ref knew he f***ed up down the other end and evened it out, simples.

After having a look at Daves excellent photo, I'll rescind my earlier post - my apologies.

Superb performance from everyone. Delighted for Dyer who deserved a goal after an outstanding start to the season. Butcher had his best game yet for us and Rossco was as unselfish as ever working for everyone else.
One of the great nights at PVR. A long way to go but we are ticking along nicely which is all you can ask. Loving the quality of football at this level. Thought FGR played some good stuff at times.

I thought Lee Butcher had a tremendous game at Woking but he was excellent on Tuesday as well. The quality of football is far more pleasing to the eye at this level and the Welling team look like they belong here.
