Thank you Mark. Good report as always.

As some have mentioned, the only downside of last night was the low attendance. People have previously mentioned leafleting campaigns. Yes they do have some effect but are not cost efficient. We need to focus on attracting friends and family to the club before trying to attract the rest of Joe Public.

I know I kept bringing this up last season (annoying quite a few people in process, for which I apologise), but we have got to start making the most of the FREE social networking tools available to us. They are very effective at subtly attracting the interest of friends and family to the club, and additionally acts as free advertising to the rest of the world.

Last season we did this quite successfully with Mark's articles on the Newsshopper website. As well as increasing the readership of Mark's match reports on the newsshopper website, we also get the same amount of coverage on their back pages as Charlton and Millwall now. On a personal note I've had alot more interest from mates in coming along to games this season. One of them told me that he used to see Mark's match reports and the match highlights on my Facebook. Eventually he started following the club himself as a second team.

All you have to do is click in the Facebook 'like' and Twitter 'tweet' buttons in the corner of the match report. If you don't have Facebook or Twitter, you can forward it onto friends via email or just leave a short comment at the bottom. The more comments the article gets, the more interest it attracts.

If for example everyone has 100 Facebook friends and 50 people click on the like button then 5000 extra people will see the article at a click of a button. In comparison it took two weeks for myself and several others to deliver the 5,000 leaflets Paul ordered, and many of those probably went in the bin with the kebab menus....

so just to repeat, click on the article above. In the top right corner you'll see a 'like' button. If you have Facebook click on this. If you have Twitter click on the 'Tweet' button and that's it! Free publicity in an instant!

Also leave a comment at at the bottom of the article if you get a moment. Last but not least, a big thank you to everyone who has helped with this initiative.

F*** me - JK Rowling would have been proud of that effort.

In fairness the report on the FGR official website is extremely balanced, even referring to a mistimed tackle leading to our penalty.
