I was happy with how it was segregated. Away fans will always make more noise, it's the same for us when we're away. Didn't give them any sort of advantage last night as we won. It can be argued that being at the end where your team is shooting gives our team the advantage as we're closer to them and can encourage them from there.
I would be the first to criticise the club if they'd got it wrong. But here with the logistics of the ground, they have got it right.
I dont like the thought of 1000 Luton fans screaming abuse from behind Butcher. Stick them on the side of the pitch. Shame that means we lose the new stand and for bigger games home fans will get wet, but stay aways will be made up for by the massive away support for those games.
I don't recall any fans s**ting on fellow fans - How have fans given an advantage to the oppo fans and s**t on our own fans into the bargain? This comment is disrespectful to fellow welling fans in my view. the club segregated the ground on police advice - not on fans advice -
Luton will be behind a goal i think, they took over 700 to Woking last night and the new stand has 600 seats if they are going for promotion i can see them bring 1000+ and maybe a lot more. I think it worked out ok last night for the segregation as they only had a few singers and the weather was dry and the crowd wasnt big, so any of ours could have got in the old stand. Not convinced it would be as ok in poor weather or with huge loud travelling support, we wont know until it happens.
The club cannot really win whatever they do but hopefully our fans wont be too inconvenienced either way. Its a bit suck it and see for a while.

Tuesday nights segregation meant I had to stand in a different part of the ground from where I usually stand, no real hardship, and real fans will turn out to watch the match no matter the weather. I have found in my many years of going to matches that the away support tend to be die hard fans and will sing throughout the match no matter the score as the Aldershot fans did on Tuesday.

400 ish? , i think there will be more floaters than usual as the games vs the Bees were always entertaining in the Conference before and Barnet are decent club nd then you have the Davids factor to drag a few more in. I would expect a crowd of 12-1300 on Saturday if it doesnt rain.
Just seen Polo's post, thats great news, the rain shouldnt impact the crowd now with over 1000 seats available for home fans.

Arr, the David's factor will draw a few more in now then?

Tom, after our chat the other week I foolishly believed you might stop goading from behind your computer screen.
You asked that I stop making you look like a c*** on the forum - it looks like you're more than capable of continuing that fine work without my assistance.
Re: J, Any fan has the right to attend as many/few games as he likes without you having a pop at him. You don't know people's circumstances.

so when do comments become accepted then?
and you have gone on and on about the segregation and it is the only way forward. Just because you can't have your normal spot you moan and if it was somewhere else that affected other people you wouldn't complain
I'd say don't take it to PM either, don't do it at all. Grow up.
Shame Barnet is segregated. I assume we're segregating based on numbers and not necessarily expectation of trouble.
I think it must be numbers, strange though as the Xmas derbies with dartford were well attend as was the fa trophy game with Grimsby and they were not segregated
Sorry if this sounds like a silly question but as Barnet have the Cricket side of the ground, are we able to sit in the main stand instead (with a pay a quid arrangement, similar to the New Stand). My missus wanted to come with me to the game tomorrow but ishe's pregnant and can't stand for the whole match.
I was going to PM this question but thought there might be elderly and/or disabled fans with a similar query. Thanks.
Yes, i believe you can still sit in the old stand. If it is busy though just get there in plenty of time to make sure you get a seat.
Just to back this up, there are quite a lot of season ticket holders who have their seats reserved, and there may well be a press box over-spill, so I would recommend an early arrival for a good seat.

That's all I need as an excuse to get the missus out the house and down to the ground early. Cheers guys!
This was my first segregated game today as I couldn't make the Aldershot match.
I may have missed this point and apologies if I have but why do we give the new stand to the away supporters. I could see access to both areas behind the goals to anyone and Barnet in the new stand. Why don't we put the away supporters in the old stand and we have the new stand?

Simples?
Not sure the executive lounge members and sponsors would want to be surrounded by opposition supporters, or that home supporters would be happy seeing visitors get bar use while the home team do not.
And how do we put them in the new stand and keep them segregated from home fans. Even if we used the Erith turnstiles, there is access from the old stand to the road end. If they are in the cricket ground side they are easily blocked off.
Simples
