I wasn't making that point Bertie and I put in more than a few coins to boost the budget believe me. My point was that boost the budget has been fantastic over the last 2 seasons. Each season it's given Jamie a sizable amount of cash to work with and we can see what a tremendous job Jamie has done with small resources.
The point I was trying to make is that boost the budget is never going to be able to cover someone like Andy Pugh's wages. Paul White has worked wonders in getting increased sponsorship etc but it's going to need at least an extra 400-500 home supporters turning up every game before the club are able to increase the budget enough to offer those kind of wages.
With the performances and football we have been playing recently, we deserve to get much bigger crowds.

According to Kent online, Jamie was interested in bringing Andy back to the Wings but did not have the money in his budget to do it. Come on, let's fill that Boost the Budget bucket.
Whilst I would love to have Pughy back here. His wages are way higher than what a few coins in the boost the budget bucket could afford. It's over £500 a week i'm led to believe.
Whilst I think he can add to the squad, we are not doing too shabby without him...

It may be "a few coins" to you, Polo, but to me it is a £5 note each home match, plus what I pay monthly via direct debit.
Lets not turn it into a willy waving contest.
That's a great effort, but we would need an additional 100 people to do the same on top of those who already contribute in order to pay his full wages.
I'm not boasting about my contribution, AW - I know some people put in much more money. People put in whatever they can afford, be that "a few coins" or more than that. The fact that people care to do that, whatever the contribution, demonstrates that we are in a position to try to help Jamies' budget in whatever little way we can. Obviously, some folk are not in a position to do that and struggle to pay the entrance fee to matches - and we should respect that too.
