Loads of rain today and more tonight and tomorow, anyone else concerned if the game will go ahead?

Yeah, according to my iPhone weather app it's going to be raining non-stop overnight...

Although logistically it's costs us to call a game off, at least it might give those coming back from injury some extra time to recover.

According to my drunken sources at the Welling United beer festival, the pitch is fine at the moment. And if you can't trust a bunch of drunks, who can you trust? smile

Not too worried about the game tomorrow. Probably will still go ahead. Just light rain at the minute. suggest Barry will be working on the pitch a couple of hours before hand tomorrow. Back to the game. Should be a good one. Reduced prices to Prem/Champ ST Holders should lure in. Should be interesting to see if we stick with the team that beat Braintree. COYW!

Tamworth nearly equalised after confusion between defence and keeper.

Referee making some odd decisions today. Pires having the shirt almost ripped off his back and the foul gets given against him.

Conflicting forecasts on the net at the moment. Some saying no rain until overnight some saying some heavy showers this afternoon.

I can't see it being off today. It wasn't as if it chucked it down last night, just drizzle and it's sunny at the moment (09:55).

'quite direct'  - from the Tamworth boss? he also seems to think we live on set pieces. He's having a laugh. I know he's a joker but to say we're just scrapping, physical etc. is an insult.

As for his son, their goalkeeper, 'who should be in the football league' - wasting time from the very first minute. He soon started shifting when they went one down. I'm still sadly not surprised about the amount of trap the ref took from their players with no comeback. The biggest joke was the 4th official saying 1 minute injury time first half - the 'football league' keeper took 50 seconds, three times, just to take a goal kick!

It's fair to say Tamworth favour the long ball.

Tamworth started brightly and applied some pressure without any end result. Welling coming back into the game with a couple of corners but like Tamworth no end result. But just as I say that, Pires was through on goal and scuffed the ball wide of the right post

Welling applying constant pressure with the Tamworth defence holding strong.

Tamworth just hit the bar, think Butcher got a fingertip on it.

Out of the blue Buther pulls out a fantastic save from a long speculative shot from outside the box and tips it on to the bar. Welling go down the other end and we have a chance that also hits the bar.

Cargill header from a corner just hit the bar.

Tamworth have been time wasting for a few minutes now.

Quick break by Tamworth sees a good save from Butcher. The corner comes to nothing.

Free kick by Dyer just outside the box saved easily by their keeper. Tamworth break quick and should have scored, a good chance wasted, thank God.

Lovely flick on by Pires to Healy who shoots from an acute angle but the keeper saves well.

Great block by their no.2 as Healy was about to pull the trigger for a certain goal.

What an opportunity missed. Great save by the Tamworth keeper from Pires at close range. Should have scored.

Now it's Butcher's turn to make a great save, also from a close range shot.

Gallagher gets a yellow card, very strong tackle on their player. Stretcher coming on. Does not look good. Jack Evens stretchered off. Let's hopes he's ok.

Jack Evans off injured for Tamworth after that foul from Gallagher. Gallagher went in two footed, and could easily have had a red there.

I hate this keeper!! What a brilliant save from Guthrie who again forces the ball onto the bar.

We have to settle down, route one clearance from Tamworth so nearly results in the equaliser.

Good shot by Tamworth goes just wide. It came about because we struggled to clear the ball.

Pires just wasted a golden chance by wasting time getting the ball on to his left foot. He seems so low on confidence.
