I'll be making a complaint when I get home this evening, can I suggest a few others follow suit. If they were going to squeeze in a Wings game Dartford v Welling would have been a good bet.
The thing is the tv companies like a packed ground in the background for their games and hopefully an atmosphere to go with it but if they picked one of our games to a backdrop of an empty ground with no atmosphere it looks crap. Why we never get picked

sad but true
So why pick Macclesfield v Southport and Salisbury v Hereford on Thursday evenings - hardly going to pack them in for those two.
I can understand them going for Cambridge and Luton for the Christmas/New Year fixtures but Hereford v FGR is a strange one.
The only chance we have, in my opinion, is an away game against one of the big boys or the Luton game at PVR over Easter.
Well...I have put in a complaint to BT Sport...I dont expect an answer apart frm a standard...'Thank you for your interest..we are doing everything...blah blah'
Lets see I will post here if I get one
It says it takes 10 days to respond...If I went at that speed I would nt have a job
Surely the complaint needs to be with the organisation who gives the rights to broadcasting, if bt sport have a responsibility to broadcast an even mix of games and clubs they are failing. If they have a free reign, then they can do what they like and understandably pick the 'big games'.
Yeah, agreed.
How is it fair to the competition that some clubs will get 4-6 games at £7000 a pop, and others will get naff all.
That £7000 x 2-3 games for Welling would represent an additional play or two over the course of the season.
Common sense and morals should dictate everyone gets at least one game.
I'm pretty sure at the start of the season BT said they would attempt to cover every team in the league.
I've no doubt that if they don't live up to this promise they'll spout the standard crap along the lines of "circumstance beyond our control" blah blah blah.
Surely if you're going to make such a promise, its best to cover everyone as quickly as possible? Then when it gets to the business end of the season, with playoff/promotion/relegation spots being decided, they can pick their fixtures according to circumstances. If we haven't been covered by February and find ourselves with little to play for then its a given we won't get a game at all - playoff/relegation deciders will take precedence.
They have 46 opportunities and will still balls it up.

Non league football doesnt normally have packed grounds. Its atmosphere is what it is. If BT want to show live Non league football they need to show it warts and all.

Only 7k for a home team I think and much less for the away side.
Do you really think the extra income would go into the playing budget..........hahahahaha
It's free money. Whatever it goes to is a bonus. We have ground improvements to action before the end of the season.
Every little helps, 1k for an away game isn't much, but its better than zero, and the TV exposure and a good performance might then boost future gates as well. Lots of fringe benefits.

Albeit on a smaller scale, the coverage policy reminds me a lot of when ITV Sport showed the top flight in the 80s/90s with the same 4 or 5 clubs playing each other.
Disgraceful how uneven it is with the league games. Shouldn't be allowed. Sky have to feature everyone on their Premiership coverage. Not equally. But at least everyone gets a go
Woking haven't been covered once in two seasons. I think Dartford got two games last season. Not having a gantry is not good but Woking have a superb gantry and Dartford dont have one except for a concrete shelf on the half way line with seats on it.
Hopefully we beat Plymouth and get a home draw vs a league club which should make us a good bet for live game in round 3 hopefully on ITV and not BT Sport, who have ignored us.
Pressure is on Plymouth as they can see a game vs man united ... we can have a right go at them no need to try and contain them. They are only a few places above us and hardly real madrid.
