Cheers BKK.... I had hot sweats then...... Only ever missed 2 F A Cup proper matches home or away since I started supporting Welling in 1985-86 season (1 very ill (Welling 1 Reading 1), 1 stuck in Wales on a course (Welling 1 Gillingham) grrr) :)
Wow just worked out from this I have never missed an FA Cup proper Welling away match since I started supporting them 28 years ago :)
25 years since our last FA Cup 1st Round match at home (I think). Not really sure how Luton fan see this one but a big game and some good money to be had.
1988-89 v Bromsgrove was the last time we were drawn at home in the first round however we beat Gillingham at home in a replay one year later before losing at home to Reading in a 3rd replay one round later. That was our last home game in any 'proper' round. For many young or new Welling supporters, tomorrow will be a first.
Ah yes. I went to both 0-0 Reading V Welling Utd Elm Park matches lol Back in the days where you just kept having replays forever lol
Does anyone remember just how bad that rain was during the second replay at Elm Park? I have never been so uncomfortable in the weather conditions while watching Welling! And then Booker missed a golden chance to win it in the last minute....
Strong possibility of the Charlton game being called off thanks to their pitch's crap drainage system. pic.twitter.com/nd4xjPki36
If anyone has access to the Charlton forums such as charlton life it might be worth posting a recommendation on there that they head to our game instead.
gee thanks mate, I get up at the crack of dawn, half-asleep, make a complete mess of getting up to date and all you can do is "take the piss" - I guess I deserved it
Luton fans giving Lafayette a lot of stick. When he set up that second goal, he turned to the Luton stand and celebrated at them. Brilliant - hope Tom got that on camera.
