Been to home park a couple of times. Not a bad place. Plymouth could be easier than Lincoln. If it is Plymouth then I will ask the ex to give us the lowdown on the night life for those weekending there.

Union street was always a great night out ....Back in my time down there...
No offence SquareVanMan but unless your ex is either 40-50 years your junior, or still going strong on the clubbing scene in her pensionable years, then I am not convinced her opinion is worth much to anyone other than the Latvian Love Length that is Wallis.

Like most others I hope it's Plymouth. I have travellodge voucher to be used this year after Birmingham travelodge ****ed up and cost me £24 parking fee in the summer so could travel the night before to either venue and treat Mrs Tannoy to a never to be forgotten weekend.
Who says I don't know how to treat a girl?

No only 16 years younger than me so in her 40's but she still knows what the places to be seen in are due to her younger kids.
Horrendous draw - in terms of journey time and expense, but a reasonable one in terms of getting a draw or, slightly less likely, a win. The obvious problem will be tiredness for the team, with a match at Grimsby on the Tuesday of that week. If Lincoln win the replay, they will get another chance to spy on us right on their doorstep. If Plymouth win, they will know we will have had a tough match and two exhausting journeys beforehand.
I know expense is an issue, but I would really hope that in both cases the club sanctions travel by train and, possibly, in the case of Plymouth, an overnight stay. If we get Lincoln, perhaps some or most of the team can stay in the area after the Grimsby match? Obviously, there would be problems with that as they have jobs to go to as well. This is where the advantages of being full-time kick in - that and the bigger squads.
