A valuable point that I was very happy to witness considering I nearly got chucked out of the ground!
Thought we showed them a bit too much respect in the first half, but aside from Bergqvist slipping and Butcher making a near post save, they didn't create too many clear cut chances. Second half was a lot more positive. Our best period came after Gallagher made a great burst forward and set Roscoe through on goal - whilst it didn't lead to a goal it's positive moments like that that can swing momentum in your favour. We could have nicked it but a draw is a very good result away to a "big" side. Looking good for a home win on Saturday. COYW!

Do tell the story!!
Well, Gallagher charged through midfield, played a great ball through the centre to find Roscoe, who took a touch and was about to unleash a shot when a great last ditch tackle halted him. The End.
Ohhhh...you mean the other bit
Nothing too exciting. Wasn't aware you couldn't take beer onto the terraces, so was summoned down by a few officers of the law for "committing a criminal offence". Was going to be ejected from the ground but fortunately got to speak to the stadium manager who could see it was an honest mistake. Didn't conceal the drink and wasn't stopped by the stewards when I walked out of the bar. It was in a plastic cup so not like I could cause any damage and I wasn't drunk. First question the police asked was "When have you ever been to a game and taken alcohol onto the terraces?". I said never, but I usually don't drink at games and when I do, it is almost always served in a glass/bottle so in those instances its fairly obvious you can't take it outside.
Agreed, got away with murder compared to some of the flare throwing, pitch invading and window smashing we've had to put up with from the opposition this season
Super effort from the lads. Was happy to go in 0-0 at half time but thought we shaded the second half and could have very easily nicked the 3 points.
Shows how well we are doing that while very happy with a point, there is a little bit (only a little!) of disappointment that we couldn't get the win.
Not a bad performance among them but thought special mention should go to JG who did really well when filling in at left back for a lot of the 2nd half. I also thought Kurtis gave us another outlet when he came on which helped.
First twenty minutes felt like a pre season friendly with neither team showing a lot of intent. They had the better of the latter stages of the first half with one good save from Butcher and one bad miss. Second half we had the better of it and had a couple of chances to take all three points but a draw about right - just hope Jack O is not seriously injured.
Keeper and defence solid again, midfield made some nice moves and were disciplined in defence and Ross ran his wotsits off as always. Healy was motm for me - he has been different gravy in the last two or three games. Also a mention for Harry Beautyman - started slowly and looked very rusty early on but to complete ninety minutes and still be running hard at the end of it was very positive after only 10 minutes football in nearly three months.
And let's not forget some of our players had as much trouble with the tubes as us. Apparently, Loui Fazakerley was stuck at Wembley Park for 45 minutes, Joe Healy had all sorts of problems and Kiernan Hughes-Mason was on the same one as some of us which involved being chucked off before the end of the journey.
John Still's Luton don't have to put up with that with their 'we only train one more session than part time clubs' attitude!
Wasn't at the game, but sounds like we could of nicked it. We would of taken a point at the start of the season and like somebody else said it shows how good the team are doing when there is a touch of disappointment we did not win. I'm sure i'm not the only person guilty of now and then looking at the table and thinking that a few points we lost in drawn games would of put us 2nd!! When really should be looking at how far away we are from the bottom 4!!
No doubt he got some of the ball, but surely if its a dangerous tackle it doesnt matter if you get part of the ball. It looks a wild lunge off the ground to me and the fact Obo is stretched off suggests its a dangerous tackle. In the past few seasons weve had players sent off for less imo.
Good Ground. Good Game. Good atmosphere.....by the Wings fans. Hardly heard the Barnet fans thorough the whole 70 minutes. TFL are a disgrace. I understand the issue, but they must get into their head that they cant close an entire line for over an hour. Was on the tube at London Bridge by 6:20.....didnt even get into Canons Park until just before 8:00. 40 minute journey turned into 1hr 40. Stupid. Cab companies in Kilburn must have heard about the incident as were charging £27 for a 6 mile journey. Expecting £15 not £27. Barnet didnt sell concession tickets on the gate so while some people (me) paid £8.00 online, other under16's/over60's had to pay the adult price of £16.00 which is RIDICULOUS!
Correct Charlie - Both Anthony and Peter went last night as a last minute decision both 15 years old and had to pay full price (£16) instead of a concession (£8)
because they "don't sell concession tickets on the day" - I have to say I think that is an absolute disgrace and while I have never had bad feelings towards Barnet in the past they are now among my " Hated teams"
I wonder if that is the same policy for home supporters
That's appalling re: ticket prices.
And given David's attitude at the game at our place, and the general "I don't go north" as well, I hope they get what they deserve this season ... naff all.
Good solid point away from home. Lovely ground but the prices are a joke, both for beer and burger. Not to mention for those who didn't buy in advance.
A very strong but also fair challenge on Ober in my opinion
Thought at the time from the angle I had he had a poor touch which knocked it just beyond his control which meant both were stretching and entitled to go for it. I think we might have been unhappy if it had happened in reverse and we had got a red card out of it.
I overheard the 'exchange about the beer' and the plod asking how many matches you had been to (presumably where you can drink beer). You would think with what we have been hearing about 'police intelligence' surrounding our games that part of their research would cover where we have come from and what we have been doing, especially as in this case it is the same police force. Apparently not. Similarly, some of the staff we have been exposed to at former league teams do not appear to have been informed about some of the culture in their new circumstances. It doesn't mean that they have to adopt it but there is little excuse for not being aware.
I would be interested to know if Stockport still segregate this season.

Yes it is the same for home fans, and I posted a warning on this site about concession prices not being available on Monday.
