I see the Braintree v Cambridge match has already been rearranged for 7 January. I wonder what the hold-up is with the Dartford game - especially as Dartford has a long break until 18 January? How soon do postponed games have to be re-scheduled under Conference rules?
42 days and i believe we are waiting to hear back from Dartford on them accepting our suggested date(s). I think we have tried to get the new date sorted quickly.

Dartford fan in peace..according to Tony burman on radio kent he is looking forward to the break untill the 18th Jan!
I think most dfc fans want to fit it in. We have to 're arrange woking and dover (ksc) too and later fixtures might pile up.

Dartford has rearranged games for 21 and 28 Jan. versus Kidderminster and Dover (KSC) respectively. That leaves us with possibly 14 Jan v Dartford, or does it when a previous poster has mentioned that Mr Burman told Radio Kent he would like a gap until Jan.18?
Yep, noted Polo - forgot to spot that. Well, it looks like January is out for the Dartford match unless we go for something like Friday 10th because of E&B's Saturday fixture.

Weekend of 11/12 Jan would have been ideal (but Deres game seems to have put paid to that) but next Tuesday (7th) doesn't seem too bad (weather permitting)
Of course our "friends" up the road need to agree to any change of date and seem very keen on a break/rest to revamp their squad........they are already ahead of most teams fixtures wise so won't be in any hurry to play at the moment with their current squad and form....
So looks like February/March to me which will sadly have major impact on the attendance.
Sunday 5th Jan looks horrendous, so I doubt that 7 Jan would be a runner. I wonder whether we could have been fitted in on 21 or 28 Jan - or do previous postponed fixtures take precedence?

Start of Feb I would have thought. The club have 4 home games to play this month, and with only 1 in February they may want to split the cashflow out so Feb is easier!

Perhaps we should bear this in mind? Hopefully, there is every chance that we will have a stronger, revamped, squad when we play them - and that match, if later in the season, could have a significant impact on Dartford's fate (and thus attract a bigger than usual crowd).
The weather is forecast to be dry and sunny all day Friday. The temperatures are very mild for this time of year. With the wind as well, the pitch should be fine for Friday evening/night.

I've just done some cross country in Danson Park and its like a swamp. Standing water everywhere. Although our pitch is in great condition, the volume of rain is ridiculous, and more forecast. Once you have 22 players on it and its starts cutting up, on a cold evening, it will worsen very quickly.
Anyway, nothing we can do about it. Let's talk football not weather.
If its on, I fancy a win. Glad the club saw sense in re-arranging it at the earliest opportunity whilst Dartford are still on a poor run, still have injuries, haven't had weeks to add to the squad, and we still have Cargill on loan before he returns to Bournemouth.

Barry has a machine that removes water so he can clear the pitch. It's a lot of hard work and he was at it tirelessly last week

We are without Fazakerley, Gallagher, Hudson, Obersteller and Pires but I do agree that it is better to play rather than build up a back-log. The way our season is going, as soon as they are back, someone else will be sidelined.
Two home games in four days, 6 points and, touch wood, we are safe ... and Dartford and Hyde are both down effectively.
However, do not be complacent. Lets roar them to victory.

And postponed again. I thought it was a tad optimistic to rearrange it so quickly. At least we've a fighting chance on Friday, although my weather forecasting last Saturday was hopeless
Given the recent torrential rain, I wonder whether the floodlights and the public address system will get a check before Friday's match so that any problems can be sorted beforehand? Not that young Barry and his helpers have enough heroics to perform in trying to get a playable surface! I await the "don't panic" illustration!
Typical, Dartford take McCauley (a centre back) on loan from Cambridge Utd in time to face us. I do hope we can bolster our side soon, with so many people out injured or suspended.
I reckon that rolling device with the extra absorbent sponge thingy has been working overtime - and probably to good effect. I reckon young Barry has been working-out on it. Watching him using it before the Wrexham game it looks like it takes an awful lot of shifting on a soggy pitch. Perhaps there is a similar, motorised, device which WUSA can help to provide via a loan or a partial donation?
