Last night I was asked by Lisa who runs the tea bars at the ground to put this thread up to get some constructive feedback regarding the catering at PVR
Either add to the thread or you can email direct to her on
Cook lots of burgers, add cheese to all. Someone asks for a plain burger = long wait.

I'm sure someone told me that they couldn't go chips in the main catering bit because of a lack of power provided.
could be wrong though but sure I heard it!
Your right Dean, Gary and myself are always saying chips to Lisa but there is just not enough power into the hut.
Regarding prices I think they have it spot on for drinks. I was shocked at Plymouth at £1.90 for a tea and I understand Charlton are no better. I have found food quality better this year, certainly compared to the muck I was served up at Aldershot half of which went into the bin.
I really appreciate you guys taking the time to post some feedback, it will really help me push things forward.
With regards to the drink prices, I do not think £1.00 is unreasonable for a hot drink, I have the biggest cups I can buy in order to give you value for money, the caterer last year may have been cheaper however his cups were 2oz smaller too. If I were to drop the prices to let's say 80p, it would really slow the queue down having to mess around with change, apologies but this is not an option. £1.90 for a cup of tea..... shocking! Welling is a family club and with this in mind, I will always ensure our prices remain affordable.
On a separate note, Mark has suggested we separate the queues for food and drinks, I think this is a great idea and I am putting this in to place immediately to see how it goes. I think this will really help the waiting times, especially on the larger games.....
CHIPS! You are all absolutely right, the electricity in the tea hut is really stretched as it is however things are looking up, I have a plumber coming over this morning to talk about installing gas fryers, so fingers crossed! I shall keep you all updated.

Thanks again!
Lisa :)
I do
Well you'll be going thirsty then.
Thanks for the reply Lisa and engaging with the forum.
I would say that £1 for a hot drink is one of the cheaper prices in the league. I'm sure there was somewhere this season where it was £2.50 for a cup of tea....Luton??
I found your burgers was lovely as was you ^_^ I was going to get me and my son a burger from you when we come last friday night but we stumbled across a chip shop down the road that did £2.50 deals of saveloy and chips and jumbo sausage and chips so we both had that as chips last longer be using you on saturday though as I am on own and want a burger :)
As one who uses your facilities at each match, I can say that we often discuss options amongst ourselves and the main things are the need for a separate drinks queue as that will be quick, and we need chips, both of which you seem to be addressing - well done.
A couple of other small points - last Tuesday the milk was past its sell-by date, so please ensure that doesn't happen again, and please can you fill the cups just to a level that still leaves room for the milk.
Good news, the plumber has confirmed we can install gas fryers in the tea hut, enabling me to serve chips at long last! I now have to source the fryers and get them all installed so this may take a little while, please bear with me.
I am pleased to hear that most of you feel my prices are reasonable, £2.50 for a cup of tea is disgusting!
With regards to the milk the other night Kappa, it had been frozen and I got it out of the freezer on Monday. This was due to the two cancelled games previously, I had a mountain of milk frozen as you can imagine, although I can see how it may look so I will bear that in mind in future. I can assure you we are extremely careful when it comes to our health and hygiene practices.
Ben, I will buy you some hand Warmers, they are great :)
Thank you so much for all of your feedback guys, it's really helping! I am usually serving at the main tea hut if any of you want to chat or raise an issue please make yourselves known, I am keen to get to know everyone.
Hi Lisa. As a dfc fan I have only been to your ground a few times so I can only speak for my experience. The food tastes good, no cheap rubbish, the drinks are a good size and again have a good taste. The sauces and sugar is easily accessible, clean and tidy, that may seem a small point but you would be surprised what some grounds are like. I never experienced long queues but then I don't visit near or at half time. Separate queues for food and drink a simple good idea. I have been stuck behind someone buying their dinner before. No complaints plenty of positives.
Scotch Pies, Scotch Pies and Scotch pies. I really miss not being able to get a Scotch Pie and Bovril at matches, Can't stand the overpriced Pukka (or should that be Mukka) Pies. Morrison have usually got a good deal on Scotch Pies. They come in packs of 2 or 3 and cost around £1-£1.50 a pack, sell for £1.50 each would make a tidy profit, maybe you could try it out with say 30 pies to see how they sell.
thanks
Davy
