tbh I just wish he would stop saying all the time he looking to get players in all it doing is making us look bad when deals keep ending up falling through. I trust in jamie but please stop it lol if we need to take our time and get the best possible players fine but something has got to be done for sure i mean 4 loans already and our cbs are not even ours :( I just hope he gets players that can make a difference like a forward with power or pace or a winger that can run like a greyhound and actually put a good ball into the box We have got to find players that want to play and improve welling not lots of loans imo anyways cmon you wings and good luck jamie :)

Well Im just happy we have a manager who is willing to be open and honest about the transfer window situation. We would all be on here moaning if Jamie was not trying for players and keeping us all in the dark about what he has been trying to do. He cant please everybody it seems.
It's gonna be one more young lad with potential before the end of the window at best, and then maybe a loan afterwards if a permanent signing doesn't work out.
I refer to a previous comment on another thread, that the budget will need to be addressed for next season for the club to progress. Not silly money. But taking it up 1k a week must be doable as, assuming we stay up, we won't have mass ground works to fund next season.
Agreed Mark, but the Luton cash cow is not as great in the grand scheme of things as you might think. Besides, who might come down? Dartford would be a New Years Day not Fri night (if they stay up). There are a lot of variables. Equally, we won't have a Hyde next season with naff all attendance.
I read in minutes from a WUSA meeting that attendances were up on predication. All spare funds this season are going on ground works. Next season, improved or over-predicted income, can go into the playing budget. Or significant ground improvements that improve income streams as a result, like the bar or catering, whereas some new terracing won't, but is a must due to ground standards of the Conf.
Am disappointed that as yet we haven't replaced Franks or Dyer. Players of that ilk have obviously been part of our budget this season and from a purely playing perpsective it would be a backward step if we cannot afford to replace them.
Jamie's right about our form we're not the team we were earlier in the season. Too many injuries and absentees perhaps. That could change with a fuller squad to choose from. Hope his calculations about a further four wins are correct as such a run of victories seems a little way off at the moment but there are plenty of games to get there.
Assuming survival we'll have to be very wary of second season syndrome next time round.

Key to that is retaining Daisy and the rest of the management team. New deals please
Is jamie still injured? We really miss his corners and his creativity or is it because of all the loans he feels he has to play them?
As far as I'm aware he hasn't been injured at all. He'd definitely rather give opportunities to younger players, than have them rely on him. But yes, we do miss his set pieces.

He got injured in the last minute at home to Dartford otherwise he would have played against Hyde. Now that Jake Gallagher is back, I cannot see him selecting himself again.

I think he may have to, unless we recruit a central defender in the next 28 and a half hours or so, or during the loan window. We are set to lose Doug during March, so will it be Jake to central defence? Is Jamie waiting on a board meeting tonight for dosh to be released (just speculating)?
As much as I don't really like the caravan, lucky heather selling people from DA1, I would rather them stay up, joining Bromley and Ebbsfleet for local matches. As for signings, get the incumbent owners to dive deep, give Jamie the scope to do his job and see results for the team.
Dartford down and Bromley or Ebbsfleet up wouldn't be terrible, If Dartford stay up and Ebbsfleet come up we will get Braintree or some similar game over xmas... Dartford down and Bromley or Ebbsfleet up would be fine, which is looking very possible with Dartford's run of games to come.
We will worry about that when we are safe as we still have to get a few points on the board ASAP and not be dragged down into possible trouble at the end of the season.
