Tomorrow at 10am, as a precaution, according to the official site. Presumably, the Gateshead team will be travelling on Friday and staying over. Also on official site, a Club statement about ground improvements.
Trouble is the "big" storm is due on Saturday so Friday may be pretty irrelevant unless, which seems unlikely, it's already unplayable
Looking at the weather forecast for the Welling area, it seems that there will be hours of heavy rain from now until the time of the inspection - with interludes of showers and light rain. After 10am, it is sunshine and a few showers. Curiously, Saturday's expected storm seems to be interspersed with sunny and seemingly dry spells.

Thank you Michael Fish!
I don't see the point of an inspection that early on the Friday as it is still 29 hours to kick off and a lot can change in that period unless it is just a formality to cancel the game??
If "part time" Gateshead choose to travel overnight then that is their perogative but that they can pay the costs that go with it.
