I don't know the terms of their deals but I would assume they are due this summer.
Common sense would dictate they should be offered new deals, and should have been ages ago anyhow. The club should want to tie them down to new deals. I am sure they would welcome security, and pay-rises.
It was also mentioned at the WUSA meeting, and is recorded in the minutes, that it should be raised at the Board Meeting. Like it shouldn't have been without our prompting.
There is no reference to this at the Board Meeting in the write-up submitted by Malcolm.
Was it mentioned at the Board Meeting and has been overlooked in Malcolm's write-up, or was it not discussed? I suspect the latter.
If it is the latter then I am amazed, annoyed, and frankly we are waiting for disaster to strike. As shown by Franks, Dyer and Bergqvist, we can lose quality at any point, and rest assured, as soon as the manager goes, whenever that is, on to bigger and better things, which is inevitable given the job he has done, the rest will follow ... management team, players, the works. Bye bye Conf Prem.
Why has this not been addressed by the club? and, equally as important, why was it not raised at the Board Meeting as was expressly requested and recorded in the WUSA minutes? otherwise, why do we bother?
Or do we wait until it is too late and someone makes them an offer we could only dream of bettering.
In Jamie we trust ... without him, we're f**ked, let's be honest. We'd collapse like a pack of cards.
Sort it out WUFC. Can WUSA please please do something to raise this through proper channels ... waiting for the next meeting is too late. There will be another offer on the table by then, if not for Jamie, for most of his players. And if the players go, what reason is there for Jamie to stay on, other than he lives nearby. None.
Jamie, Barry, Frosty ... take the lead. Tell the club you want new deals. You deserve them. Become legends like the ones at the dinner Saturday night. Sign up.
I did raise the situation regarding Jamie for next season at the Board meeting. There was little to report apart from "initial discussions had taken place".
Kevin, I can understand your concern - and I share it. Even so, I would point you towards your response to the news that Doug had left. Of course I plead with Jamie and his management team to stay, but they have been at the Wings' helm for four years and may well think that this is as good as it gets - the greater possibility of avoiding relegation and finishing mid-table in our first season back? Sentiment and comradeship aside, why would they want to pledge more years to a club which probably cannot match lucrative offers elsewhere, which, in comparison, would need massive investment in spectator and player facilities and budgets for playing staff twice, three or four times that of the Wings? What would you do? Or is it a challenge to see whether we can punch even heavier than our weight by reaching for the play-offs?
Rightly, we celebrated 50 years of the Wings - a fabulous evening - and no sugar daddy money can buy that commitment, love and pride. What is the alternative? Lots more investment at the risk of losing the very qualities which underline this club? It is a difficult balancing act. Unless --- and it is a big ask, Jamie and his management team buy into the club in terms of running all aspects of it together with young Barry and Paul White.

Team like Nuneaton, Hyde, Salisbury, Dartford, Braintree, Woking play in this league... SOME of them probably pay £50 a player more than us on average in their squads. At least two of those three are likely to go down.
We are here on merit and clubs like Luton, Cambridge, Wrexham must be utter dog poo to be in this league with little old Welling then... OR MAYBE just MAYBE we deserve to be here and have proved we can compete with MOST of the teams in this league.
Why would Jamie go to another club in this league and risk it going tits up? Hes said on screen he will only go to a League club, If one comes in for him and he wants to go ... good luck to him.
He's sensible and IMO will try and REALLY over achieve with us and then wait for a league club. Once you get in the league they just recycle managers between teams so if you feck up there, another club will take you.
I'll take evens with anyone that he signs up for next season... just because he hasnt done so yet doesnt mean there are 75 clubs sniffing to sign him up.
All this bilge might unsettle a few players, we have enough of that from a few Dirtford trolls.
Completely agree Tom, why would he go anywhere else? He has solid foundations here where he has set things up how he wants. He lives locally and has a young family. Of course he is ambitious, like his players, but unless something great comes along then a can see him staying ... all the more reason to get it sorted now, as a massive statement of intent, to then assist is re-signing and getting new players, to commit in the summer.
Hang on, where did I say that we could not compete in this league? And I did not start this thread. Surely, Jamie would like the luxury of having a budget which would enable him to bring in the players whom he has had scouted and not be pipped at the last minute by clubs dangling a bit more dosh? I was merely suggesting that Jamie has already hit his target of getting the Wings into the national division of the Conference one year ahead of schedule and is set to keep us there if we can get a few more wins. Jamie himself has spoken out against unrealistic expectations this season. I will be as pleased as anybody if Jamie, his management team and most of our players stay on for next season - I merely cited some of the issues which could arise in response to a post anxious about the manager signing a new contract.
Feel that the manager should have been offered a new deal ages ago...he needs security too!
It is a catch 22 with developing players. Unless we put these developing players on sensible contracts, we will never make the transfer profits that are so needed in order to compete in this league.
It is important to note that Daisy has his ' other ' job locally plus a young family.....unless any offer is a league club that makes sense...i.e local or a packge that exceeds his current 2 jobs and is secure then i think we will see Daisy around for a while yet
Only jobs I can see him going are Gillingham and/or Dartford.
Dartford, no chance at the moment given possible relegation, and their manager being on the board so hardly likely to be sacked.
Gillingham, unlikely to appoint a "novice" as they will wrongly perceive it.
