Brilliant performance against one of the best teams I've seen this year.

Every youngster played superb, Bender for me motm, Blaine outstanding also.

Haven't seen a better team at shifting the ball so quickly and accurately as Gateshead, they are a very dangerous side but it proves that if you have the right tactics you can press them to death and they didn't like it up em!

Crowd was only 455.....the team deserves so much better.

Good team effort all round last night against a decent side.

All the new recruits did well and the pace we had up front worried them all night and also took some of the pressure off Roscoe. I actually thought Bender looked a bit shaky first half but improved as the game went on. Difficult call for motm for last night but I would go for Jake as he won everything in the middle of the park and is such a crucial part of our team.

"Healy of the month" sewn up for February as well.

Superb performance against a very effective side. I would n't want to pick out anyone for special praise because they all played well including the subs. If we play with the same intensity on Sat I'm confident it will be another 3 points!   COYW

Gateshead were as horrible and niggly in the second half and they were wasteful in front of goal in the first.

I thought the "two tobes" were brilliant and both welcome additions to the side. Look like Jamie has had the cloth and eyepiece out again singling out gems for the Welling masses...er...very disppointing midweek crowd.

The gaffer and team deserve far, far better.

455 is a low attendance but it's a typical attendance for a Tuesday night when Champions League football is on.
Excuses aside the lads do deserve better.

Hopefully everyone will bring friends and family along to the Macclesfield game on Saturday. Macclesfield tend to bring a decent away crowd as well. Hopefully the weather will be decent as well.

Yes for me the 2 tobes were gr8 we left one on half way line when defending corners as they were so pacy they added a real threat going forward and thats exactly what we needed imo well done Mr day very good additions, looking forward to hopefully same line up saturday as we looked good every time we went forward cmon you wings

Hudson (as usual) and Mawson were outstanding in central defence last night particularly in the second half. Never gave Gateshead a sniff who resorted to long ball route one football out of desperation.

had a drink in the bar with two Gateshead supporters . one lived in Plymouth moved there for work,but watches most of the away games. the other lives in Essex,again watches away games so our place is local to him. stood behind the goal with them,about 20 in total most drove down Monday stayed local but went home last night,rather them than me
