I thought the ref and his assistants had a very good game compared with some we have seen at PVR this season. Ok, a few incidents were missed and one strange decision but, on the whole, they were as good as two very good teams on the pitch - who also made mistakes.
Yes i tend to agree the only 2 things that bemused me was the bad foul by our player who went studs up on guys leg and the ref played on for about 5 seconds when we was in promising attack he then decided to blow up for foul even though there player had crawled of pitch by then lol, also how there number 5 didnt get booked for 3 or 4 incidents 2nd half is also beyond me
I've seen plenty worse (hello Mr W Barratt I am looking at you) but I did think he was in danger of losing control towards the end.
The Gateshead players were getting frustrated and he let a lot of things go which could have led to retaliation from some of ours (Faz, Roscoe, Sho Silva)
Think he is one of the best at this level and although he made some strange decisions on Tuesday he was ok along with his assistants.
A bit perplexed about the incident where he gave a free kick as mentioned above and also why he allowed Toby Ajala's challenge right at the end of the first half to go when I thought it was a yellow card and a free-kick.
On the plus side he does give the game a chance to breathe instead of jumping on every last thing.
Thought the officials contributed along with both teams to a really good game of football and well done again to our lads on getting the three points.
