If anyone knows any Charlton fans, try to drag them to the game tonight. It's been a while since they've seen any decent football....

Alright Lincoln might be a bit of a mission for them but any home games try and get them to come down.

Quite a few of them jumping ship looking at the forums and news outlet comments sections.

I raise my question/comment from Saturday again - will be interesting to see what team is fielded as when everyone is fit I am struggling to name an XI without leaving someone out and then changing my mind and swapping them back in, time and again.

Sounds like Saturday was a promising, positive performance and if we can replicate and just take those chances we should get something from the game, and have a positive end to the season as well.

Lafayette on the bench? Having a rest or nursing a knock?

Five loan players in the starting line-up - I thought you could only have four on the pitch and one on the bench.  I hope I'm wrong - if not it had better be changed fast!

Uneasy about Ross being on the bench. Sho-Silva is a big, powerful lad though so hopefully he can play that role.

Did Butcher aggravate his injury on Saturday?

 From the Conference rules....

6.4.8 A Club may name up to a maximum of five (5) players on a Team Sheet who are either Short Term Loan, Emergency Loan (short term), Long Term, Youth Loan or Work Experience.

Nothing to worry about.

Radio says we should have had a penalty in the first half

Thanks mate.  Listening to BBC radio Lincolnshire - according to the commentators we should have had a penalty.  Also Clarkie on for Joe Healy - possible injury?

The Radio Lincolnshire commentary is one of the better (i.e. balanced) local radio commentaries we've heard this season.

FULL TIME: Lincoln 1-2 Welling - Great three points. Keeps us in the top half...is a possible playoff surge on the hands?

Fantastic result. These midweek long away trips seem to bring out our best, battling performances. Well done, lads!

Well done lads, great result. Doesn't sound like Lincoln were in it at all based on their own commentary, and I'm sure that's because we were very good and stopped them playing.

Any news on Obo? if its just mumps seems like a long time to not even get back to being a sub minimum.

On the way home from Lincoln. A great performance by the lads and a well deserved win. Wakefield's goal is a contender for goal of the season to!

Just for balance, the first 35 minutes we were not very good and weren't really in the game. Class goal from Wakefield gave us some life for a quick follow up and after that we were good value.

would be interesting IF we did make a play-off spot as I don't think the conference would let us complete, due to Football League regulations on grounds ('ealth and safety...)

I think you have to register an application with the Football League in November to be considered for promotion; I doubt whether the club did that. If they didn't, I don't think we would be allowed in the play-offs.

Unlike the Conference (which gives you a year to get your ground up to scratch), the Football League insists on the ground having the correct grading by, I think, end of March.

It's still been a brilliant season - we can save the play-offs for next year!

One odd thing from last night's game was the use of towels before throw ins.

Every time Lincoln took one of there long throws they were given a towel by the ballboy to wipe the ball. Several times Loui Faz asked the ballboy for a towel and he refused to hand it over. After 5 or 6 times the ref told them to stop using the towels, surely if they can be used for one team, they should be used for both?

Rory Delap used to have a towel sewn into his shirt for throw ins, however opposing teams weren't provided with a towel as the only towel was in Rory Delap's shirt (being the only throw in taker for Stoke...)

Had a feeling we would win last night on the basis of Saturday's performance at Nuneaton.

Super stuff Wings.

Not so much odd as cheating. Glad the ref spotted it and put a stop to it. Shouldn't be allowed. Should be the same for both teams to ensure a fair contest.

Only took him around 75 minutes to spot it, overall the ref last night made some really strange descisions include booking Rossco for kicking the ball away when it was still in the field of play

They put is under the cosh for about 15 minutes but were equals with them for the next 20 before taking control. Although Josh Wakefield's goal came out of nothing, it wasn't against the run of play.
